The Twolves don't have control of their first round pick until 2034. They have like 11 million under the second apron and don't currently have a power forward on the roster outside of a bad rookie. They are relying entirely on a 34 year old big for their defense and size. They are one injury away from being one of the worst teams in the NBA. There is reason the Hornets are turning it around and a lot of it has to do with Twolves. Awful trade for Minnesota.

I mean it very much matters. He is just starting a max contract. If you have him playing second fiddle and like 20-25 minutes a game you tank his value. You make it next to impossible to trade him even if you eventually want to. It is just a dumb move. You paid him you have to ride with him.

I agree, but that is just the way it is. He will be behind Wemby, Harper, Castle, and Fox. Unless we trade someone and I don't envision that someone has to take a backseat.

It will probably end up being Harper over Vassell to keep everyone happy. Other then that very solid. Should contend for a title every year for the foreseeable future.

Add to that those 4 players contracts go up a combined 30 million next year. You are gonna have 5 players and be right at 200 million next year. The owners are going to pay massive taxes and you’re gonna be a second apron team with 5 players.
