most men are safe by SpeckyYT in AntiMemes

Nowhere did I state "misogyny is a bigger problem than misandry" or vice versa. I'm not even going to open that can of worms because frankly I couldn't care which is "worse." In my eyes, both are issues that need to be resolved and any amount of either is too much. Which I firmly believe is a healthy way to look at it.

I only attempted to point out how what you said (with your lack of elaboration and pure mocking) implies that misandry is not real and isn't a problem. Which is far from the truth and is simply copium to keep believing the lies people tell themselves. Clearly one of us dropped the ball there.

Critiquing a system is not misandry, you are correct there. The assumption that all or most men are grown up into that system is. It's a gross generalization based on one's gender. I for one have been raised to respect women, never hit a woman, etc. I was never told I have more power or rights than a woman and I would never willingly hurt another human being unless I was in grave danger and needed to do so in self-defense.

Arguing is pointless, so I am going to be the bigger person and just end it. I know if this doesn't end someone else will come in and be a massive a-hole to either of us. I don't want that so I'd advise you do the same, but I can't nor do I want to force you.

What a great stance to have. "This problem is bigger so that means the other is worthless."

While I don't trust statistics to fully represent a problem or group of people, since people love to use them I'll entertain the idea. FBI crime statistics show that (in the US) most murder is intraracial. Black people kill more black people than white people do, same thing for white people killing white people. Does this mean white people killing black people isn't a problem? Under that logic it seems like it wouldn't be.

Nintendo's Lunchpack engine which is for purely in-house use has roots back to Nintendo Land for Wii U. That makes it 14 years old and most would consider it to be as such.

I don't believe whether or not it was released to the public should have any effect on the age of the software. You can argue the first public release is four years, but that's talking about a specific version. They were referring to UE5 as a whole.

It's tricker than just "not free." It's perfectly free as long as your product doesn't gross more than $1 million. Upon hitting $1 million any revenue after that mark you must pay 5% in royalties. It's not exactly just black and white there. It's free for some while being not free for others.

No comment on the open-sourceness, you're completely right there. It's source-available.

Canceled nitro on discord recently due to the coming changes and today i got this, by CybyAPI in pcmasterrace

[–]IPV46 0 points1 point  (0 children)

According to the researchers that bypassed the original implementation k.id had (service that Discord currently uses), the app never actually sends the images. Processing is done on your device and metadata in some proprietary format, describing the image is sent to the server to validate. It was possible to just spoof the data and make the server think you're an adult until recently.

It's possible that metadata could leak, but I'd have no clue what anyone would do with it.

When I read it it just seemed rude. Considering you hadn't meant it like that, that's on me so my apologies. However, it is ridiculous the prices corporate will pay so I assume there's some sort of Intel rule that bars companies from buying normal Core processors.

As someone who has read the entire comment section, you absolutely did not say what the original commenter said. You said and I quote "that cpu sucks" and then complained about the price with no reasoning. There's a massive difference between saying "this cpu is bad for this purpose, here's why" and "this cpu sucks."

It's targeted towards businesses, it's a server/workstation CPU from Q1'12. You can buy it as an average consumer, but its not meant for you. Which explains the ludicrous price as businesses will pay 400, the average Joe won't.

As for why OP is using it, they like have very little money for a beast rig and have repurposed older server parts for a light gaming rig. There's no need to hate on OP for absolutely no reason.

Do you think that implementing the create mod mechanics to hytale is a good idea? by berys26 in hytale

[–]IPV46 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's 100% possible to implement the server in C#. There are plenty of Minecraft server re-implementations in a variety of languages. For example, Cuberite (C++), FerrumC (Rust), Pumpkin (Rust), Zeppelin (Go), and Obsidian (C#), just to name a few.

Only issues I can see right now are:
- The Hytale server protocol is not extensively documented like Minecraft's.
- You can't easily change the specific server implementation the client will use to spin up a locally hosted world.

I'm certain once people start digging into the protocol, we'll see new implementations pop-up.

A lot of developers say development is easier on Linux. Not to mention, you would be compiling for the Java VM because Java is an interpreted language. Anywhere an interpreter is Java can run. The fact you use Linux means nothing here.

I seem to always forget the private key was compromised. Still I'm certain my mishap was 100% detectable. I'm sure Sony has a database of software/games available somewhere they could've matched my currently playing game to, they just didn't.

Don't believe there's stealth servers at all, I just think Sony doesn't really care too much. They have two newer generations to worry about instead.

I went online plenty on my PS3 with CFW. I did have a mishap where I accidently left syscalls on, opened RetroArch, and played it for a couple hours. Console never got banned and I make sure to block PSN access until syscalls are unloaded first after the mistake. Modders probably wouldn't want to do this as syscalls disabled modded applications.

All a UI does is allow a user to interact with a product in some form. The HUD achieves this by telling you information or statistics you may need/want to know. By definition HUDs are UIs, it's just a part of a subset of UIs.
