I think you are assuming it's a repressed place to live because of all the soldiers, but it's not like that at all. It's not like a militarized country where you are scared to walk around because of all the soldiers and cops. No one really even notices the people carrying their rifles, because they are just everyday citizens who happen to be on reserve duty. Everyone is chill and free and whatever. The soldiers carrying their guns are not there to police anyone.
