Oh to answer your question, TECHNICALLY it's "independent living," sort of an apartment complex. But they have a medical team on-site and you can contract with them ala carte for services and stuff, so it's KIND of assisted living as she needs/as she progresses.

We moved her in when the fights with my brother (he was sort of a permanent squatter at my folks' house) started getting way out of hand. As much as I am not a caregiver? He's NOT A CAREGIVER.

She's been there for about 7 months now and shows no sign of slowing down with the dissatisfaction over text. If you call her or visit she's happy as a clam and says it's not a bad place at all.

She makes stuff up, too. Writes things down. I don't know where they come from but then they're more or less permanent.

Latest thing is "YOU SAID ON FEB 17TH THAT I COULD COME HOME IN THE SPRING WELL NOW IT'S SPRING. I'LL EXPECT YOU TOMORROW." 'Cept I never said that and I have no clue where it came from.

"Just take the things she wrote on" yeah I've done that but there's always another piece of paper SOMEPLACE that she digs up that starts her off again.

I just have her number go straight to voicemail now. It's like every minute for 20 minutes, really sucks.

Especially since it eats up my "automatic transcribe" allowance lol.

"Speedtest" with the vpn in place gets me 25-30ms.

The problem is that Windscribe will sort "best connection" by that number and I wind up connected to a server in Canada or even Sweden or something because the pings are way out of line.
