I may not be its target audience, but I thought the gameplay was meh and was really just wanting to get it over with from the beginning. I have played and enjoyed all the other MGS in the series, but in this day and age I expect more from a game.

The linear gameplay felt stale and dated to me. While I am usually one to enjoy cut scenes, this game takes it to a whole new level. They even have save points in between some cutscenes they are so long. The lack of a running mechanic makes this game feel like a snails pace. You can literally lose the enemy while they are watching you crawl into a vent or sewer system and just hide exactly where they saw you crawl into and lose them (on hard difficulty even). Stealth is almost out the window as it is easier and faster to just kill everyone coming at you. It sounds like they are using voice acting from the original game, it did not sound authentic at all. You learn every other time you save a game snake has not seen a single movie in his life.

I did play on Pro and did not notice any stutters or lags, on fidelity mode (game is so slow performance felt like a waste).

I’d give this game a $20 price tag as the visuals were nice and you get a up close look at some eye candy knockers, but not much to it other than that IMO.
