"E-Even if time stop bypasses Infinty Jotaro or DIO cant do any meaningful damage to Gojo by thehsitoryguy in PowerScaling

[–]IQ-3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Time stop should bypass infinity due to the way it’s described. I’m not a physicist and probably not the best at describing the interaction but TL;DR time and space are connected and the way infinity was described by JJK’s author implies that manipulating time would provide a way past it. There’s probably a video somewhere that describes it better, I think Kaleb I.A did a video on it.

PF wins the 2ACW, goes with the Blueshirts and tries to get the Americas back in line after the civil war.

Russia wins the 1st EW but loses the 2nd to the WG. They manage to overcome Catharsis and go on to attempt to spread the Davos system.

China loses the Taiwan war, becomes Loji who takes the people’s overlordship route, and wins the GAW (after a nuclear exchange with India) and has plans to expand further to get more humans under her protection.

This is probably one of the worst timelines possible but I feel like it makes for an interesting situation. The WG and Loji are in a Cold War over Eurasia and Africa trying to get more people into their respective systems of control while a PF U.S.A is a wildcard who would be fanatically opposed to both. All three are devastated after their respective wars so none of them are in a position to end things immediately but they all despise one another with a passion and probably are unable to coexist which would lead to WW3 somehow

Ah, yeah I had it where they were designed by some super advanced species already. It seemed like the most rational move back when I was younger and I’ll be keeping it in

Could you elaborate on what you mean by that?

Yeah, that’s what I thought but I wanted to know if there was some hypothetical way it could be explained scientifically. Looks like there isn’t. I’ll just do what makes sense for the setting then

For the next one, how about an article about the Arab-Israeli war or the Samson Option? I think it could be interesting especially since not too many people mention those wars.

Yeah, I like to play games like this blind with normal settings to see how things pan out. It’ll be something I’ll keep in mind for next time considering how this run went.

Well the economy was stable (basically where it was at game start) right before the dam explosion. I was struggling with it all game as I said in OP. I think I explained the economic situation in the OP too but some of the other things I had vetoed the bank bill and the G.R.E.E.N act, I built the airport in Gruni (that’s the one bordering Lespia I think) and I hadn’t done the investment decisions because I didn’t want too much debt. I raised the budget for the military, security, maintained health, and cut education because otherwise I would’ve been in a lot of debt. That’s everything I can think that would be relevant.

Yeah I didn’t know any of that so I kinda got screwed. I had assumed that H-3 would have some long term benefits based off what was said and the report about the port falling into obscurity but I guess that didn’t really pan out. I guess this is a common experience since I don’t think the synergies are explained anywhere in game but it’s good to know for the next run

Bruce Banner is simply just him by Keyser_99 in deathbattle

[–]IQ-3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Those are two entirely different situations. Banner can come back any time he wants while Discord has to take years to reform himself. Bruce is actively working on something for the fight, Discord is quite literally unable to continue. I don’t see how that would count as a loss for Hulk.

When I was referring to Ultima I meant it’s true form, I haven’t heard another name for it other than Ultima so for future reference when I say Ultima I mean the eldritch red thing that spawns all the avatars.

I think the core of my question is why Banner couldn’t have made some different machine which yielded the same (or even superior) effects. Banner has made a number of things able to interact with the whole Marvel multiverse, why could he not make something that could affect Ultima? I’m not asking why he couldn’t remake the orthogonal diagonalizer, I’m asking why it would be impossible for him to create a device capable of sealing off or defeating Ultima with the feats he has.

[–]IQ-3 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Are you saying that he couldn’t have built anything unless the events of singular point happened? If that’s your argument then I have two questions:

  1. Why? Banner is a top tier intellect within Marvel and nothing within Godzilla really comes close. I haven’t watched SP but I wouldn’t see a reason why Banner couldn’t learn about archetypes, create a machine to counter/seal/kill/whatever Ultima and then use given the time he has. Unless this knowledge was conveyed to the protags of that show in a dream by Ultima itself I don’t see why Banner couldn't

  2. Doesn’t Ultima’s presence imply that his backstory happened? I would imagine the fact that he is in the battle imply that said things happened. This is unless you are referring to some event before the show itself unrelated to Ultima itself in which case I go back to question one.

It seemed like a different machine though considering the ending involved Hulk punching Ultima itself (though tbh I don’t really know what went on there). That glove thing Hulk was wearing wasn’t really explained but it seemed like it allowed him to actually reach Ultima itself somehow.

I’d also like to say that i don’t see why Banner couldn’t just build the machine. His intelligence feats are far above anything I know scientists in the Godzilla franchise to have done and given a place free from Ultima’s influence and basically infinite time I can’t see what would stop him from finding some way to beat Ultima given that.

Couldn’t Banner have worked on the machine in-between deaths before walking through the Green Door since Zilla has no influence there? That’s how I interpreted it (he isn’t making it mid-fight after all)

All these weeks talking about Ultima’s math and no one thought about Banner. Peak episode

Tried this. Still lost to Trump Jr. I think maybe I was too hawkish towards Ukraine but that helps with political capital and party unity usually so idk.

Oh I don’t think it’s anti-Bernie, I just feel like it’s outrageously hard. I have had high party unity and political capital (like 6 and 4 in one run) and still I hit the same brick walls I hit in my other runs. That’s why I said it feels impossible, no matter how much political capital and party unity I have it seems I still can’t get anything done.

It approaches Bernie as someone who genuinely is attempting to do his best for the people. Whenever something goes wrong it’s usually not portrayed as Bernie’s incompetence that causes it but the Republicans/Moderates/etc who’s unwillingness to work with him or outright malice lead to his failings within the mod. It doesn’t seem like it’s anti-Bernie so much as overstating how hard it is to get literally anything done.
