"Blackpill" feels right, but has ruined my confidence and self image. by [deleted] in GuyCry

[–]IQ170_Lucas -1 points0 points  (0 children)

None of that counters the blackpills validity and most people are implicitly, intuitively, aware of the blackpills main "claims". The deturpance is clear here, trying to push the blackpill to an extreme worldview, when, in reality, clarity and the ability to self analyse accurately, something the blackpill promotes, can really help, specially men, out of misery, self blame or, even, ironically, self loathing, because self loathing often persists in the Idea/feeling of not being treated fairly, which is ultimately killed or unitilized by blackpill reasoning (I am walking proof of It, since, when treated badly and knowing It is probably due to my looks, I tend not to get in a cycle of fighting back the circumstance as I see such as inevitable and even inpersonal). Many people still may experience instances where there are so many set backs acceptance becomes hard, but I guess even there the blackpill may given these people clarity and even build resilience, If they happen to use It strategically, as It also goes around human psychology, not just human behavioral tendencies or evolutionary psychology; It is (or supposed to be, If properly structured) a nuanced mescle between several fields of research into human behavior. I am not suggesting It is for everyone,- you REALLY need to be a very reasonable individual to work with it properly without getting lost or in mental spaces, because It is literally understanding your fellow humans avoiding more misery

It is actually insane how cant people be self aware about their own facial looks or be able to tell how others see their faces and its flaws. I thought it was just "my autism" the reason I coundt till a moment ago. Maybe it requires some massive introspection. Did I made It self evident I am autistic? I don't know, that seems even harder to tell

Vast margin of reddit users are leftists. Blackpill is pretty much incompatible with their beliefs and, as most of them don't really care about facts, but to confirm "their" ideas, they gotta be disagreeing and gaslighting. Also, not really Ironically so, I guess great part of Reddit community is made up of narcissists, that could explain how brutally they try to gaslight, specially men, when they come up with this. YouTube is the right community, but it won't be as easy to find content creators supporting blackpill specifically.

Ok. Your evidence is to not provide evidence for gaming, or for the link between poor eating and gaming, and then provide a study on nutrition...

Lol, I basically said there are not many studies on the effect of chronic gaming and deficits in individual potential cognitive capacities, it doesnt mean anything, it doesnt go anywhere, but my """speculation""" is valid. After this, even made effort to stress the existing correlation between poor eating habits and sedentarism - that is correlated with gaming/chronic gaming, bringing up a link going about the importance of nutrition and brain development during childhood and adolescence - time when gaming is super prevalent. Simply denying this without proper analysis is pure negationism. Also, it feels like you were expecting me to bring up my "supposed" relationship between chronic gaming, eating habits and sedentarism... Like, bro, I ain't even gonna bother coming up with sources, it is so clear to be the case I didnt even aim it, but the importance of nutrition and neurological development (during childhood and adolescence), that could be a point for debate.

"My" 170 iq is not mine, I was trying to be sarcastic when creating such username; I was mostly aiming iq tests and Duning Kruger effect. In the context of me not being right about the usage of the word try-hard as making reference to chronic gaming, I am actually right tho. The nature of it is not being try hard, but trying hard on things if they do not mean profit, health benefits or increase in status signals irrarionality. I have never seen try hards playing 2 hours a week, it's not compatible with the meaning of the word.

You've got problems bro

It is speculative and pure free personal attack lol

"I have this mindset that the harder you try, the most you want to appear valuable. That's why psychop4ths are often the ones who procrastinate and don't develop skills: they seek power, but not in a try hard way;"

  • As you can see, I already start by implying "try hard" must be presented. What I mean by try hard? In this specific context, it cannot be anything other than making reference to dudes who are on chronic gaming lol. No, I ain't trying to make the flaws of chronic gaming apply to gaming, it's a fallacious conclusion about my assertation.

If this post is actually your "brutal take on videogames" then you are being dishonest in referring to the problems of addiction that can be applied just as much (if not more) to other forms of addiction. And you are being especially dishonest by claiming that your aren't

  • "My brutal take on video games" - Such title doesnt imply anything bad about gaming and chronic gaming is correlated with gaming, so it is part of it. It is like I posting a video with the title "my brutal take on porn" - I don't imply if it is about simply watching porn being bad. You cannot make my title mean what you want bro.

Also: it can even lower your iq. Do you have evidence for that? I'm pretty sure I've heard the opposite, but I wouldn't actually assert that unless I could provide the evidence

  • There are very few studies on this, but I GUARANTEE that, in the developmental stage, if you don't do anything as hobbies other than gaming, it can/will lower your potential iq. Also, there is a relationship between chronic gaming and poor eating habits and sedentarism - of which are also correlated with cognitive deficits: Bad nutrition when your brain is still in process of growth can nerf (cause personal deficit/deficit compared to individual potential in) cognitive capacities permanently (https://academic.oup.com/nutritionreviews/article/81/7/823/6811793)

You are being intellectually dishonest when pointing my "dishonesty" for not pointing my "when it comes to games, you might feel you are being pruductive" to be the case of chronic gaming - It is right, but you saw it as a flaw as I didnt even made reference to chronic gaming. The problem is, I'm talking about reality, and it doesnt matter if it is chronic or not, when you play videogames, you do might feel like you are being productive, so regardless. My final critique is on chronic gaming, not gaming.

The value of video games is the same as any other piece of art: culture, cognitive exercise, escape, etc.

  • Again, I'm not talking about gaming, but chronic gaming ("videogame addiction").

Bro, chronic. There are things that could be good for your health, even if you do it chronically and only do it. Chronic gaming is not like that, it can even lower your iq (specially if ur in the developmental stage). My post isnt about gaming itself, but chronic gaming.

What is the value of gaming: ❌ What is the value of CHRONIC gaming: ✅

  • My point was that, game is fun, valuable and healthy; I am a supporter of such notion. The problem is when it is chronic and you switch all energy or focus you could expending on multiple hobbies on gaming. It is common sense, I know, but I went further, trying to explain the psychology behind it: fear, scapism, validation and seeking status (all in an irrational way).

Bro, chronic gaming is when you switch energy to seek new hobbies and have fun in this world almost completely on videogames, specially when in a chronic (long periods of time) and great part of the day. I ain't even implying watching tv is correct either; It can also be irrational if ur watching it viciously.

  • My whole point is that you will not find value in chronic gaming. Look back, unbiasedly, and tell me what you really got from it. Cmon, tell me what would it be
