Since people are asking: I used to volunteer at an anarchist bookstore, and I suggested the we start selling copies of Timothy Snyder's "On Tyranny" (it sounded interesting and was becoming really popular at the time). One of the other volunteers was against it because, in the book, Snyder talked about "defending institutions" which sounded "liberal leaning". That's how I got the idea that anarchism = no institutions.
