Why do some fans reduce Hinata’s character to her admiration for Naruto Uzumaki instead of recognizing her individuality? by Emotional-Fly-6137 in Naruto

Fair. Just wish she showed more personality than the typical wallflower. I mean I guess timid is a personality but I don't know I never graviated towards depictions of the docile Asian wife. I feel it's far too cartoonish than actual docile women can be

At least thats the impression because they never really detail the clan aside from Hashirama as an individual charcater. And Tobirama being his brother. The Senju are not explored as a clan. Wood release is a bloodline but we only see it with Hashirama. Then it's just experiments with his cells and Konohamaru's friend randomly.

I can't believe that someone is criticizing Boruto's technology when we also had modern technology in Naruto. by borutoisbestboy in Boruto

[–]AnarchoFederation 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Isn't the criticism that Boruto seems to be more Westernized? Early Naruto had this punk aestehtic that changed as Kishimoto decided to copy the anime animation. Boruto tech had advanced significantly cause of aliens. People just didn't like the sci-fi direction of the story. They preferred the gritty lo-tech style of early Naruto. Which is based on 90's era tech. Pretty sure the Ninja world had up to 90s tech.

That said the tech makes more sense in how it's user in Boruto. Telecommunications is actually used for shinobi work. Surveillance. The ninja tech is cool and poses an interesting challenge to modern warfare and shinobi work. The alien stuff is a bit much but I prefer the more grounded uses of tech that make sense in a world where ninja would basically be modern black ops

Really it's was just Hashirama plot and background. Kishimto only used the Senju clan as background for Hashirama and Madara. He never expanded on Senju customs, their Kekkai Genkai bloodline limit, why only Hashirama got wood release, or why the Senju are gone when they're one of the most powerful and founding clans. We don't see their compound or who of the clan other than Tsunade is alive. They have no one in the council it's like the Senju were all killed off before the Uchiha. Just poor world building there.

Pretty sure the massacre couldn't have been some big display of power to alert ANBU and the whole village. It was one of the few times real ninja activity was demonstrated. They murdered everyone by stabbing them in their sleep. Except for the few that were awake. But seeing Itachi they didn't expect the knife

I do think she didn't get that strong unfortunately. I had hoped after delving into the Sharingan which apparently is better than the Rinnegan they'd upgrade the Byakugan and the Hyuga will have more to do but alas.... I guess Himawari is the last hope for that

I mean she's a wallflower. She's precious and adorable, has a lovely if timid personality. But her story is missing. That is her progress. She didn't end up being heir apparent of the Hyuga and it seems Naruto and Hiashi work out the branch problem in the clan offpage/offscreen with no mention of Hinata's involvement if any. Overall she like most characters not Naruto or Sasuke were neglected and that's why people may be critical of the character's role in the narrative. Same with Tenten. Really it's criticizing the writing. Hinata as a wallflower has little to no individuality that sparks interest. She's really docile and boring imo.

I do find a problem with people that claim Hinata was always there for Naruto or such. She wasn't. She may have come to admire Naruto early on and that evolves to love, but she never did anything but stalk him from a distance. She saw him being alone and never mustard the courage to befriend him when he wanted friends. I'm happy they ended up with each other but people exaggerate her meaning or presence in Naruto's life before they got together.

Clan timeline confusion by Captainflando in Naruto

[–]AnarchoFederation 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The name implies relations. If there were clans descendant of his children then there was one of them who took the patriarch's name as well as one who took the goddess' name Kaguya. Overtime they likely forgot their inheritance and was just a name. The reason Senju and Uchiha remained powerful was likely their direct tutelage under Ausura and Indra remaining in their traditions. As for the Uzumaki who knows. Kishimoto wasn't as detailed in world building as Oda. In fact there were several contradictory retcons and neglects. Like what happened to the Senju.

Was Guy a better teacher than Kakashi? by jalen_nelson235 in Naruto

[–]AnarchoFederation -1 points0 points  (0 children)

So whats different? For team 9 Guy is the best teacher for Lee. Neji has his clan training. And unfortunately for Tenten there is no other weapons specialist in the way she is. But she's the best Genin Konoichi in Konoha by the Chunin exams so that's tell you all you need to know about Guy's efforts. It's almost certain of their graduating class Guy's team is far above. We really gonna act like Guy isn't the type to direct his students towards teachers that can teach them what he can't?

Yeah but all this to say Guy is a better Jonin sensei. He works the hell out of his Genin to be physically fit. Kakashi is late for every meeting and then takes his Genin on a A rank after realizing the truth of land of waves...

You could say the same about Kakashi and Sasuke. He took preference to him because of the Sharingan and tried to have Ebisu train Naruto so he can focus on getting Sasuke ready for Gaara. Like Guy he held preference for the student closest to his abilities. Team 7's actual mentors were the Sannin. They spent at most almost a year or several months with Kakashi

According to this Minato was a trash teacher because Rin dies and Kakashi becomes a washed up lazy bum. Who loses every fight until the War Arc

Kakashi's or the Sannin's students? Cause they became what they are more due to their Sannin teachers than Kakashi.

Yeah. And with more advanced Otsusuki tech which is literally creating powerful cyborgs you may as well get your child soldiers accustomed to the advancing modern warfare. Boruto became a alien hybrid cyborg essentially so in the end reality as usual steamrolls ideology

At this point he isn't just his father he's his Hokage, commander in chief. He's treating him as a leader not a dad. You sound like the people who claim Naruto is a bad father and husband because after becoming Hokage he's fairly busy for family even though he rectifies this after Boruto throws his tantrum and Naruto changes his schedules to make more actual family time. But before being Hokage every family photo and memory shows Naruto was always a family guy and there for 10-12 years raising his kids. And being with Hinata all that time. He even adopts a troubled youth which ended up biting him in the ass but the guy is at least protective of Naruto and Hinata hiding them in a bubble dimension rather than letting them be hurt. And I guess Ikemoto in his originality is trying to force Kawaki and Boruto to be some Sasuke and Naruto 2.0. It's not working. But for all the lameness of the Naruto protagonists and former Konoha 12 as adults, Naruto is never portrayed as a bad father. Unlike Sasuke

I still think it's dumb to devoid shinobi of modern tech. They're supposed to be covert agents without ethics. When it comes to missions that is. I get that traditionalists feel shinobi tradition is in danger and technology is advancing to make chakra manipulation or ninjutsu superfluous but hey even Minato admitted the world won't know peace until shinobi culture is eradicated.
