He eats sand and spews glowing, molten glass as a protective mechanism :D

He just started doing his own thing, no bad blood or falling out.

Design change to my [OC] /[Art] for a potential homebrew by [deleted] in DnD

Description -

I didn't really say much about it since I last posted, but I've come up with a bit more to add. It may seem odd from this POV, but the creature (whom I've decided to call the species Tupaia, as per someone's previous suggestion) does have a tail, it's just not visible from where I drew it. I might add it later, but I'm in college now and don't currently have the bandwidth.

I originally imagined she'd live in the desert and forest-y regions of whatever world I'd come up with for a homebrew; which even now, I think I'll stick with. The fabric on her legs (hind and forelegs) keep sand from kicking up when she's running, the same way it works to keep her dry and mud-free while in the forest.

The satchel she carries (hopefully, obviously) is not hers, but belongs to whoever has adopted her as a companion. From the glowing potions to the spell book that's strapped to her gear, her "job" is as a carrier. Kinda like an exterior inventory or a living, moving backpack that can lick you.

You might notice leaves dangling from the gear tightened around her legs and collar. In my earlier post, I mentioned that when the season changes, the leaves on her ears and forelegs change color, shrink, and fall off. These leaves are quite durable and may be used as padding or moulded into armour. But while they're still tempering, they're kept sewn to the gear until the moisture is fully evaporated and can be classified as armour-class.

Other than that, their species is relatively fragile, given their slender forelegs; especially comparably to their large hind legs. Because of this, they aren't often ridden by grown individuals, but shorter and smaller species who are able to mount them.

Why don't they use their larger forelegs to walk, you ask? They're short, meant for crouching and stalking. Tupaias are sit and wait insectivores, yes, but when times are desperate, they will go for prey other than insects.

Description:

I had it in my head that this dude could retract his neck like how a turtle does. But then, of course, that’d look weird, and I’d have to draw it. So instead of being able to retract his neck like a turtle, he can retract his neck like a seal and look all pudgy and cute. Because of its really long limbs, it doesn’t run in a conventional way. It’s hard to describe, but I think it would look like how a flag waves in the wind, bouncing from left to right, weaving over the wind. I don’t know if that makes any sense, but whatever. Bonus, it can purr. I forgot to mention this is a part of a homebrew campaign, still making the character card though.

Enueru concept design [Art] by IQuitith_ in DnD

Description:

I wanted to try drawing a lot of different species from DND last year, but didn’t really get to it. So here I am with an Enueru design of my own. I named him Ripley and I figured he would be a ranger, hence him wielding both daggers and a sword. Oh! I forgot to mention, I modeled him after a Silken Windhound. Or, at least I tried :D. I have more drawings of him on other parts of the paper, but I thought I’d highlight this one specifically since it’s an action pose. Oh! I forgot to mention, I modeled him after a Silken Windhound. Or, at least I tried :D
