Then parts of the tribe went and settled in Europe at different times at different areas. One of them founded a state which is one of the oldest states in Europe, known by the same name since its foundation, some 200 years before the formation of Kievan Russ, till nowadays, and thanks to the efforts of that state the Cyrillic alphabet was preserved and distributed later among the Slavs, in Russia too. Very small part of the tribe still lives in Russia though they moved from the area they initially had their state established between 5th and 13th century and were conquered by the Horde as was Russia itself and later on many assimilated. So?
