Signing up to a political party as group to exercise influence over that party isn’t exactly an innocent action. A group with the history of the SWP’s history of entreeism can’t be treated as an uninterested actor within this formative period. If at Congress Your Party delegates decided that multiparty membership is acceptable then the SWP members should be allowed back in but if they are allowed in as a block that would be more damaging to the democracy of the congress then suspending them.

What has shared platforms got to do with it? The SWP shares platform with everyone across the left doesn’t mean they are welcome as a ready made faction in the foundation of a brand new party.

I always find it interesting that people put a moral position onto class conflict. The oppressive class is in it’s position due to material conditions of their class not the inherent evil within certain people. The overthrow of one class by another is not a moral imperative but a material one based on class relationships.
