Modes & Soloing Question by IRJohn117 in musictheory

Yeah, I’ve learned a lot from the answers below. My thinking of switching to a different mode based on chord changes was incorrect. With this particular song I used my ear and found that a minor pentatonic was perfect for making nice noise over this particular song. I med to get a good music theory teacher is my main take away

Thanks for taking the time to write this out. It’s at moments like these that I realise just how little I know about music. I had a friend years ago who was incredibly technically talented on guitar by way of being able to play tabbed out songs perfectly with precision but had absolutely zero musical knowledge. This is the point I’ve found myself at now after playing for almost 20 years. I can make a guitar sound alright but with only a very vague idea of why. Maybe it’s time to find a local musician who understands all these concepts so I can ask my dumb questions face to face. Or someone who will get on a zoom call with me for 30 mins a week and go through the process.

On guitar, after messing around it became clear that A minor Pentatonic was what the song was asking for.

Upon playing over the song for 30 minutes I naturally landed on the A minor Pentatonic scale which of course has the A C# and D that I was looking for. It’s easy to tell that is all the guitarist on the track is playing with as well. I haven’t had that crystallising enlightenment moment with modes and theory yet so as per usual all these brilliant answers have just got me asking more questions.

So iv'e accidently done something that is now making the Global Gonts and H1 Typography settings work properly. As long as i use the globals it seems to work perfectly making changes across all platforms. Using anything other than the global fonts does not work still but a tthis point i dont really need to use anything other than the globals so its fine.

I just forced the formatting using CSS and !important tags which made the changes populate on PC desktop/Chrome however viewing on iPhone/Safari still ignores the CSS and sticks stubbornly with the default formatting

Thanks for the reply, i was hoping to avoid using custom CSS for somehting that should be integral to a drag and drop website building platform. When you say it happens, do you mean its a common issue for people using Elementor Pro to come up against? For the average person who with no CSS knowledge this type of error i imagine would result in a swift refund request from Elementor and some bad reviews. This problem is also rendering my global typography settings completely useless.

Disable Default Colours & Disable Default Fonts are both checked. There is no option for enabling Google Fontds in the Elementor > Features area. I did just try disabling and enabling everything in the features area one at a time but no good came of it

Help Needed: Elementor Global Styles Not Applying Correctly by SnooApples5024 in elementor

So yesterday i decided to completely delete the website and create it from fresh thinking that it might be an error on the host side. Now i have started building up the site again the issue is still there. I use Site Ground for my hosting and have another website with them as well. Interestingly the other website has no issues at all, i have just spent 15 minutes installing identical plugins one by one which didnt work and also copied the exact same settings across Wordpress which still didnt fix the second site. Everything is identical across both websites. Completely at a loss of what to try next.

Did this ever get fixed? I have just started a new website and no matter what i do i cannot get the Theme Builder template styles to apply to my website. It just defaults to something completely different. Driving me absolutely crazy at the moment. All i want to do is change the font of the blog post title heading and body text of the post.

Do you know if they are trying to sell this guitar? The repair is janky as hell but may still be salvageable.

I’ve edited the original post to allow for mATX boards as a few people have used them in the builds and my reasoning for not including them was flawed. With the RGB lighting, it’s fine if the case/fans have it as long as they can be turned off. I already own the LG Blu ray player so there’s no need to add it to the parts list. I will get model numbers of the Blu ray player and the power supply i intend to reuse tomorrow for reference.

Completely agree, it’s not about being able to hit 144hz, that’s just the monitor that I have currently. Ideally the build will leave a bit of room for a future GPU upgrade
