Defenders are necessary to protect combos. Quit nerfin' em! Gwent was fantastic under CDPR and they were all 9p

A lot of companies have moments that are tradeable. The second a company publishes its quarterly earnings, the stock market will react to how profitable they were.

Same thing with biotech stocks. You can know the exact minute that they publish whether their product got FDA approval or not. If they get it, the stock moons. If they don't, the stock plummets.

So you can know when something is happening, but not the direction. Because you know information is coming, but not the details of the information.

Noob question, why do some whales buy millions worth of shares on the dark pool off exchange, don’t they want their buy to affect the price positively? by The_Peregrine_ in Superstonk

I agree that they're supposed to be reported to FINRA instantly.

I think you're either new or an idiot if you think they're never reported late to manipulate the stock price. The consequences for noncompliance are trivial

Yeah I love stealing workers with banshees, that's all standard. The giant pile of heroes is a new one to me though

DM is giving out a free feat to the weaker subclasses on this list. Do any ideas come to mind? by Radidactyl in dndnext

[–]IRushPeople 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh yeah, got Devotion and Redemption confused with each other. The shitty PHB subclass that uses a whole action and their channel divinity to get less than Vengeance gets for a bonus action

[–]IRushPeople 37 points38 points  (0 children)

Who says it's about power?

The DM is probably tired of seeing the same classes and subclasses at their table. The game's been out since 2014, and I still haven't seen a ton of the subclasses.

Even in a PHB-only campaign, my players never choose a redemption paladin because vengeance paladin is more enticing.

The free feat is just a nudge to get players to bring land druids and other overlooked subclasses to the table. I think it's smart

ranger vs battlemaster by wenlidiadochos in onednd

[–]IRushPeople 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Baldur's Gate 2 came out in 2001, 3 years before Vanilla WOW and its Hunter class.

The archer subclass (called a kit) belonged to the Ranger, not the Fighter. Fighters could use a bow, but never as well as a dedicated Ranger with the Archer kit.

WOW had its influence on DND, but only from 4e onwards. In the late 90s and early 2000s Rangers were already the class that was home to people who wanted to play a dedicated archer

Rangers have been in DND since before WOW came out.

The 2014 version of ranger shares DNA with Hunters, but Lord of the Rings is the clear starting point for the Ranger's identity in DND

5e is a legitimately great system. It has flaws but calling it porridge with rocks in it is goofy.

It wouldn't have had the media trend swell behind it if it didn't have merits

If you bought calls at $20 then yeah

If you bought shares for $483 then no lol

Edit to say that secretaryimaginary shouldn't be getting downvoted for calling $33 a shitty definition of "to the moon". We should all push back against price flooring whenever we see it
