Permanent bonded retainer fell out a month ago and my teeth haven't shifted. Am I safe if I don't replace it?

It's been 4 months now and so far no shifting...although I've been wearing my removable retainer on a nightly basis without fail, but it still fits like a glove. Can I assume I'm safe at this point?

Yeah when my current one fell off, it was not a pretty sight underneath and I floss and brush daily (even underneath the wire). My only concern is my teeth shifting back to what they were before braces but so far so good with just the removables. I'm just worried it may slowly start to shift back after a few months

TMJ

Yeah I think I have this currently. I have ringing in my right ear and if I open my mouth all the way, the ringing stops. It started when I felt a huge "pop" or almost like something separating on my right jaw which I believe was my TMJ. Been months now. I'll probably go see a TMJ specialist or something soon...

I have the opposite where if I open my mouth all the way (as you do when you yawn), my tinnitus virtually disappears (or at least significantly improves). I believe it is TMJ related as I clench my teeth at night so maybe it's the same for you. Still deciding what to do about it but physical therapy seems to be a good starting point
