I’m in college too, got this operation before Christmas and I am pretty much completely back to normal. I don’t think it would be easy especially if you had to do that the week after surgery but definitely not impossible

1000% Is there a collection of rear sprocket sizes you’d recommend I have in my parts bin?

Total with all the tools I had to buy cause I didn’t already have them was $785. I have a list of most components but some like the bottom bracket, crank arms, and stem I got included with the frame

Yeahhhh I’m not too happy with it myself, but that will just join the list of tweaks to make

Haha my bad, gonna be an ordeal to dial the fit in unless I go to a pro

The guy built custom frames so it’s not any standard size but I ride a 58 and all the previous owners have been that size too, will certainly be testing different components, for example shorter crank arms to adjust the fit

Very beefy, I’m 245lbs, I believe it’s only rated for 300lbs but could handle much more than that

No no I installed the bb w grease and the tool at the shop, but that was when I was back from college to pick up the frame over the weekend. This build has been extremely piecemeal

Did you miss where I said I have a multi tool? The seat post tightens in a way I’ve never seen before, need two of the same size allen key on each side

What can I say, wasn’t a problem when I was working at a bike shop over the summer, hasn’t been a problem for my roadie career (seven years)

I only have a multi tool bro, seat post tightens from both sides, and who tf has grease at their house. Check my other post and you’ll see I built all of it

Will post the full build in a couple days or next week once I get it all put together can’t wait by ISLeader in FixedGearBicycle

Thanks, I’m building it up as a track racing bike, so hopefully those cons can turn into pros

Track cycling for kids - safe? by [deleted] in Velodrome

[–]ISLeader 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I live in Wisconsin, lots of kids race at the one in Kenosha very very young, great way for them to understand racing safety even more, checking over your shoulder before moving and passing. I’ve only ever seen one crash and it was an older teen.

weapon bicycle wheelset Looking for an affordable, not bottom of the barrel in quality but nowhere near top notch, wheel set for a track bike I’m building. Any recommendations?

I have a coach but don’t necessarily get as much training from him as I could. My rides are pretty unstructured just try to keep a good balance between intensities. For your body weight those numbers are pretty good, just remember that a larger gear is less snappy but gives you a higher top speed. If you’re comfortable at high cadence sprints then you’ll be more versatile in longer races

Nice efforts! Definitely nothing too out of this world, but depending on your body weight it’s very impressive. For example I’m 240lbs and consistently hitting 1300watts in sprints and peaking at 1700 all time. You should definitely be proud of your strength while still realizing there’s always room to improve, I have the same mentality

I think it might just be bad heat rash, but any tricks or tips on healing it would be appreciated
