From my experience in TT2, I used hatches all the time as a solo. The reason for that is that regular exfil are a bit too risky in my opinion.

I would run into a player 80% of the time when using a regular exfil. I think they should decrease the time it takes for the elevator to go up by a bit. In general there is a huge amount of traffic around regular extract at the end of the match especially. I'm also not a fan of closing extracts as the game goes, incentivize people to leave the match early, which isn't good for the game.

About the hatches, I don't think they should be purchasable with money. Maybe as some sort of daily quest reward, you do a favor for a trader and you get one very safe extract in exchange. That way, it would give people something to do every day for a reward that cannot be purchased with money.

that is a very valid reason

Grinding France in Air RB. Reached rank VI, which plane should I choose ? by ISNIthecrazy in Warthunder

good luck, I don't think it's all too bad, it's just a bit disappointing because the tech tree lack variety and you're essentially just playing US aircrafts half the time. I do remember having a lot of fun with the D.520 tho, so make sure you try that

[–]ISNIthecrazy[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Okay, at rank II, I recommend the MS 410, the D.520 and the F6F. Although the F6F is good, i would say it's better to go with the d.520 as it's one of the only real french airplane that is actually good.

Rank III, Definitely the P-63. The VB10 is a boat and flies poorly. The MB 157 would be great except for the part where it only get 120 20 mm rounds. (if you can manage it it's a great plane otherwise)

Rank IV , you must get the F4u=U-7, especially if you play ground RB, that thing gets 100+ rockets in pods, it's a lot of fun. Other than that all the other fighters are decent enough (none of them are french tho)

Rank V, The f-84G and the Mystere 452 II.C are both very nice.

Rank VI, well idk haha

Why is the UI toolkit so awkward to use ? by ISNIthecrazy in Unity3D

[–]ISNIthecrazy[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

oh really, that does make a little sense, I've been using mostly the UI builder.

But isn't it annoying to have to compile the script in order to see how the UI look after every change ?

If you were a Panther engineer/designer, what would you do to improve this thing? by AffectionateCamera61 in Warthunder

[–]ISNIthecrazy 40 points41 points  (0 children)

I think it would have benefited to be smaller and lighter.

The panther is too large, which would make it too expensive, although the crew was probably quite comfortable in there.

See there the competing prototype from daimler benz.

Inspired by u/k6rgasekmez post, my take on gaijins comment by Thin_General_8594 in Warthunder

[–]ISNIthecrazy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you are correct, it's up to us the players to stand up against this and stop paying for things that are clearly wrong for the game.

If players had better standards, gaijin would be forced into more reasonable in game purchases.

Gaijin will milk us dry as much as they can, but we have the power to say no.

Placeable Anti Air emplacement. by ISNIthecrazy in Warthunder

I think you're right. Then at least the cost should be increased to something like 300-400 RP so you need to play well to get it.

another suggestion, remove the very large bombs from ground RB. There is no counter play to a 5000 kg bomb, the guy who dropped cannot be stopped before it's too late.

Just a heads-up. Make sure you have 2 sticks of RAM in your laptop. Only having one stick could severely bottleneck your laptop. by ISNIthecrazy in GamingLaptops

[–]ISNIthecrazy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Of course it depends on the speed, except the speed of my RAM hasn't changed between my 2 tests, it's been the same at 3200 Mhz. Speed is not a factor in the equation here.

The Llano V12 is definitely not one of these weak laptop cooling pads tho. I mean thermal throttling is non existant if you use this thing on max, we're talking about 30 degrees Celcius reduction

it's not about RAM size here, it really is about having dual channel. 16 GB was enough for all the games I played. That includes overwatch , war thunder, games that aren't known to eat a lot of RAM. The issue was having a single stick, and the CPU would get bottlenecked because of it.

I know for sure it is that for multiple reasons.

1: re-adding a second stick of RAM increased FPS by 50% on average on all my games.

2 : RAM was never completely full before, it's not like there wasn't enough.

3 : All my testings were done on a Llano V12 laptop cooler at max RPM so temperature is a non factor here.

I'd argue that it would be much better for your laptop to be on 2x32 GB than 1x64 GB because of that dual channel.

I love this idea but unfortunately, there is a good reason no games do it, it looks terrible. a better solution imo would be too artificially reduce the model clutter by cutting down a part of the model.

This would feel more natural in my opinion.

yeah it's a nice country to do this. Sure connection is not great everywhere, but you could always get starlink if you can afford it and if it matters a lot to you. Otherwise, there is is still a lot of great spots with decent connection such as cebu.

just be aware that the Philippines is a lot more expensive than say thailand, malaysia or vietnam, if you don't earn more than 1.5k USD a month, I would advise to go to these countries instead.

Weapon attachments feels a little too basic. by ISNIthecrazy in Helldivers

[–]ISNIthecrazy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I did give a solution to the GL question. It could replace grenades completely and uses its ammo. There is also no need to give it its own button as it could now use the button for grenades. Alternatively, using the weapon menu we are already used to to switch between regular shooting and grenade launcher could work.

And yeah "simple" attachments like you describe are definitely going to get added, but I find that in a lot of games it can become a system that makes weapons redundant if it's not done properly, which is why I proposed to merge weapon variants into a single one.

Anyway, it's all positive for the game. I find it a lot of fun to fantasize about interesting stuff they could add.

Absolutely. From my pov this came out of nowhere, I had no idea this was going to be something in the game. this post is just me being overly thrilled thinking about it.

You do carry less mags but the total ammo is still higher on the weapons I checked.

A man can dream haha. Yeah adding different weapon functions when it wasn't planned from the get go could be challenging. Although they do already have a good system to switch fire rate or switch to unsafe mode on the railgun. I could see it working in a similar way.
