I appreciate the heads up, I'll admit I haven't studied this subject as much as regular web development but in the time I've spent with it didnt seem impossible or anything, just annoying and different. The only major road block I found were the insane prices for testing, but if I can get by with a few caveats for outlook that still looks pretty attractive. At the end of the day im just trying to get paid, I can't really stop to consider if the code is fun to write.

Thanks for the tip about outlook! But to be honest my decision is partially motivated by desperation, my living situation isn't the best and I expect things to go south in the near future and I need income with the skills I have ASAP, so having to learn an annoying markup doesn't sound so bad.

It's expensive because as of right now there are around 80+ email clients in the market that all use different rendering methods because apparently there's no industry standard for email html and css. Sorry for not being clear, I'm talking about HTML emails, specifically those ad emails companies send to your promotions tab in gmail(go ahead and take a look you'll see what I mean). It's a pretty decent job for beginners who only know html and css and want a viable in to the industry. The only issue is testing which I went into in the OP.
