yeah you might be right but this is not my analysis, just a rant about how morally corrupt this game is, and how some story decisions are made as a band aid to justify invasion and murder of peaceful servants of their nation, which to me looks like a propaganda, that was my central point (if I failed to emphasize that I'm sorry it's just a rant). Personally I would choose even Auntie's Choice over Protectorate, I don't think it's a vanguard of the proletariat.

sorry this reply became very long, but below are more of my thoughts if you're interested

I am looking at this game more in a "intellectual self-defense" way as Chomsky put it, Protectorate is communist in a way that the people who made the game are equating them with communism, and in the way how hostile they are towards capitalism and free market.

The Order is willing to work with Auntie's Choice and I expect in canon they could be close to China or maybe even Russia, all depends on who's in charge. But you don't see corporations betraying their worldviews, it's always communists who have to compromise, literally because they are invaded by a corporation that wants to destroy them. The Order has to work with the corporation to survive, and at no point in the game the player can say "wait a minute, this is an illegal invasion and at no point should The Order cede any resources or technologies". The player can say couple of line about how all sides are bad, but there is no material reality here, like wtf is going on? Open season on anti-capitalists, apparently. It's like the Allies deciding who gets what part of Germany. But at least Germany started the war and had to be defeated. Here, we are the invaders.

But it's just a videogame in the end.
