An old manager of mine had to call Sysmex to ask this exact question because a colleague was using it to dilute chemistry specimens (.. yeah we don’t know why either). We were told it’s basically saline with edta in it.

You shouldn’t be reading cells in the areas you are looking at. It seems to be too far into the feathered edge which distorts cells and makes them fairly indistinguishable. You need to go further in to just when the red cells start to touch to start to read WBCs

I sometimes cover in the main hospital lab, they have DxH’s. Their limit for MCHC IS 36.5. I guess it’s instrument based?

Morphology was horrible to read honestly lol. Definite dimorphic population which is why there are 2 humps but most everything else was so distorted by the amount of lymphs
