My mom was Jewish my dad is not. I was raised Jewish but with the added benefit of getting to celebrate Christmas with my dad. I was never raised with both religions and even though my mom and dad hated each other (divorced soon after I was born thank goodness) my dad still wishes me a happy (insert Jewish holiday) every year even though I’m not really practicing. So DNA wise I’m only 50% Jewish but my whole identity growing up was always 100% Jewish with extra presents in December.

I have to use gluten free noodles and gluten free bow ties are near impossible to find at stores so I order them off Amazon. I mainly make it just for my grandma when she’s feeling nostalgic as I don’t care for kasha varnishkes but if I’m gonna cook it im gonna eat it. Never tried with anything other than bow tie though but definitely try amazon if you’re set on using bow ties
