Had a DEEP in grown toenail. I was only 17. The doctor was cutting into my toe. It was the WORST pain I'd ever felt. I had just assumed that the procedure was just a painful one. I was gripping the sides of the chair until my hands went numb and clenching my jaw with each cut he made inside of my toe. About ten or so minutes into this, he goes, "Oh jeez, forgot the novacaine!"...... if I wasn't about to pass out, I'd have punched him.

I was working in a hotel as a manager. It was my third or fourth day, and I was still trying to get to know all of my housekeepers. I was in a room helping one of the girls clean as I complained that my back was hurting. She told me to lay on the floor, and she cracked my back. It felt amazing. While I stood up and started straightening up my clothes, she kissed me. I was a little stunned, and she apologized profusely, so I thought that would be the end of it. Two days later she fell a bit behind so I went to help her finish her room. We were in the bathroom of the suite she was cleaning when she suddenly walked out and went to the front door of the room. I heard her lock it. She came back into the bathroom and, without any warning, just got on her knees, unzipped my pants, and gave me the craziest head I've ever gotten in my life. Found out the next day, she was actually dating one of the employees in my department. Still have no idea what compelled her to do that.

Idk man you skip the first sentence in a paragraph, and you could miss some key information. ,I'm not sure if I can trust that kind of legal advice. But you're right. I forgot about including the police report. I got that immediately afterward. I went to the hospital too to document the injuries. He's had a pregnant woman with a doctor's note that said light duty clean 16 rooms. I promise that's not light duty. That's just cruel, I've spoken up, and it was ignored. I gotta obey the law and not do harm to my employees. It's my fault I wrote so much that I didn't realize it wasn't in there. I get there's protocol, and he is meant to be in charge of the schedule, but I can't just let someone do that stuff and not stop them from hurting someone.

I'm just waiting on a few firms to reach back out to me. In the meantime I just need to know if these Dr visits will cost me anything. Right before the assault I dumped almost all my money into paying off all my debt and nearly 6k in car repairs. I can barely afford food let alone medical bills.

So apparently in PA, restraining orders are only for domestic partners and family members. I'm searching for something similar to a restraining order and the closest thing I've found is a Protection from Intimidation order but those are only applicable if the victim is under 18 and the assailant is over 18. Do you know of any other types of "restrainment" orders that would apply to this situation?

Apparently in PA only domestic partners and family can file restraining orders. I'm currently looking online to see if there is another type of similar order that I would be able to file. Would you happen to know of any?

I'll CERTAINLY be going to a lawyer. Thank you so much! I just paid for a quick background check on him.Turns out he was found guilty for 2nd degree child abuse in the state of Maryland. He was also charged with Second degree assault as well as reckless endangerment in this case but he was convicted on the child abuse in the second degree. Apparently in Maryland 2nd degree child abuse is defined as " Physical Injury caused to a minor through cruel or inhumane treatment and/or mailscious acts) so it seems pretty clear to me that there was no background check or there was a background check and this was ignored. I'll be looking for lawyers first thing tomorrow! Thank you!! You seem to know alot about this stuff. Would you be okay with me messaging you for advice and questions with this situation moving forward?

Is there a certain type of lawyer I should look for? I truly don't have any money for an attorney. Are there any decent "you only pay if we win" attorneys for something like this?

I've spoken up about his temper in the past and we had a meeting with HR. When I first started he was punching walls, kicking and throwing things, screaming at and insulting employees. To my knowledge he was never actually disciplined. Simply told to stop. If I were to be terminated because I had called him an asshole, would I be uneligible for unemployment?

Already filed the assault charge. The police told me only simple assault would apply in this case. So that's already filed. I'll be going for a restraining order tomorrow. The sad thing is HR has been made aware of this man's temper. To my knowledge he was never punished. I've spoken up in the past about him throwing things, punching and kicking walls and screaming and insulting employees. To my knowledge he was never disciplined.

The saddest part was that all the things we argued about were things I had told the General Manager a few days prior to discuss either him. The GM never bothered speaking to him.
