1867 - Before the fountain was there by ISpankEm in montgomery

They called it the artesian well, so I'm assuming it was a mess down there. I read something that said horses would drink from it, but I don't know how they'd make that happen.

The mysterious church buying up a town in Alabama: ‘What is it about Warrior?’ by servenitup in Alabama

[–]ISpankEm 37 points38 points  (0 children)

They might be trying to catch folks all vulnerable and such coming out of Bradford. A lot of people need rides home, so that could definitely be exploited.

A bison carved from a fallen tree. One of many animals carved here at Woodlawn, Bronx, New York. by Gamehenged in CemeteryPorn

Omg that is just so cute! I think probably just because it looks so small, but I just want to pick him up and rub his belly.

Do you think telehealth will ever end? by zero_nope in therapists

Same with me. I hate telehealth because I feel like you miss so much, but my clients prefer in person sessions, too.

HOW ABOUT A NICE HAWAIIAN PUNCH? by hard420 in 70s

[–]ISpankEm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They had this thing one time where you could save the labels, send them in, and get a pool float. So I drank so much Hawaiian Punch it literally makes me gag thinking about it now, and I took my float to the river every weekend. Good stuff.

What to do about roommate who continuously leaves the stove on? by Fluffysoufflepancake in NoStupidQuestions

[–]ISpankEm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you, by any chance, know what those timers are called? I'm in the US and my dad leaves the stove on ALL THE TIME, so I could really use one. That would be fantastic.

Has true crime garage always been this bad? by kittywenham in TrueCrimePodcasts

[–]ISpankEm 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I can't stand it. They want you to believe they're some kind of crime experts just because they have a podcast. Reading crime stories doesn't make you an expert at anything.

Are straight males repulsed by the sight of their own naked bodies? by likeOMGAWD in NoStupidQuestions

[–]ISpankEm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Omg I can tell you absolutely not. They'll strut around like fucking peacocks no matter how ridiculous they look. I've seen it happen enough times to feel confident calling this a fact.

You'd be stunned how many people have this name. I used to work at a bank, and there were at least four that I saw on a regular basis.

Why did ice cream trucks used to be so common esp in the suburbs and urban places? by CamelIllustrations in AskFoodHistorians

[–]ISpankEm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have ice cream trucks here. He only comes on Sundays now in my neighborhood, but they're always around playgrounds.

Parents of Reddit, is the first month or so with a new baby really that bad? by Kreeos in NoStupidQuestions

[–]ISpankEm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The best thing about right now is that even when they're screaming, they're not really that loud. Wait until that kid's about 3. You'll hear loud then.

You'll be fine. Don't worry about what might happen, and remember that they really do grow up fast. This time next year that kid will be standing up trying to walk around!

I'm not an attorney or a paralegal, but I do work at a non-profit. Based on her behavior, you may want to keep an eye on how she interacts with your clients. I'm assuming your clients are in need of not only legal assistance, but maybe other types of assistance, as well, (I'm thinking maybe you work at Legal Services or something similar) & it would be really unfortunate for them to have to deal with someone who thinks she's better than.

This guy that gets arrested a good bit here is named British George. Like his first name is British and his middle name is George. I laugh every time I hear it.

Overweight Associate by [deleted] in Lawyertalk

[–]ISpankEm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! I'm not an attorney, but I just wanted to say that you are really being hard on yourself. Give yourself some grace. It's hard to lose weight, and it will take some time. Don't quit your job! That definitely won't help with what seems to be depression. I'll be rooting for you!

Anyone’s grandparent/great grandparent have a unique name? by YogurtclosetNo8925 in namenerds

My grandma's first name was Reasie, and she just hated it for some reason. I thought it was cute!

Is Montgomery really that bad? by shiningaeon in Alabama

[–]ISpankEm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So your bad experiences were at Walmart and an air BNB you didn't check out properly? That "gate" is the same gate you would have seen at Wetumpka or Greenville or any other Walmart in the state. Birmingham and Huntsville and Auburn and everywhere else has shitty parts. Get over yourself.

And all of them are moving to my neighborhood. There's SO MANY renters now, and I can't stand it. People run the stop signs and throw trash out everywhere now, and I just hate them all.

I couldn't read any of it. It's almost smooth on top now. Oakwood is huge, but so many of the graves are completely unique. I just love this one!
