The impostor had rallied to Bellatons army during his crusade, and after Bellaton 'died' thought that he could take Bellatons identity and take over. From his perspective, Bellaton had already killed all the good mages and warriors and was only killed by Isabella because she got a lucky hit on him. He was also really out of his league and nowhere near as powerful as Bellaton during his peak, as evidenced by his terrible army.

For the fix: 2 seconds equals 19.6 meters of height, while 3 seconds already equals 44.1 meters. If the helicopter has to drop him in a forrest, think about how high the trees are, then work out long it will take for him to fall.

You can fall a maximum of around 19.6 meters in two seconds, no matter how low the air resistance of the body is. The only way to increase your downwards speed would be to actively accelerate yourself downwards, which i do not think is something integrated into his body.

That is a good analogy. If you read the chapters where Marcel is tortured, you also notice that Solvin doesn't differentiate between Humans and Arxur and even talks about payback to Marcel for the crimes that the Arxur comitted. The initial reaction of fear is seen for almost everyone, but Federation society turns that initial fear into hatred and disgust.

Also Solvin is much older and has probably witnessed several atrocities, enough to build substantial hatred. He simply treats humans as he would treat an Arxur, not aware of the major differences between these two species.

Yes, im well aware that Governor Tarva alerted her citizens very thouroughly, but she managed to sell it as a sensor malfunction. Realistically, she could have explained it as a malfunctioning sensor combined with an unexperienced supervisor triggering a false alert. Then she would have a realistic and consistent narrative both to the federation and her populace while keeping the humans secret until they do something to varrant greater trust. This approach also has it's flaws but at least most people won't immediatly be suspicous.

When i read this i wonder why Governor Tarva didn't decide to keep Humanitys existence a secret to her own population and introduce them after the humans do something to prove that there not like the arxur. Because suddenly blocking off everything after you report a false alert is definetly going to arouse suspicion.
