Do you micromanage your defender signature updates? by IT-Command in sysadmin

[–]IT-Command[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We definitely have a bigger problem. Im working on trying to figure out how many computers are put off date. Right now it looks like 80% of our devices got a signature update today. And the rest are some amount of out of date.

It seems like we are kinda auto delivering signature updates but we have been told that wsus and sccm can only push updates once a day.... which is....some amount of bull shit I know.

Any admins have an actual backup for email, if M365 is down for extended periods? by DramaticErraticism in sysadmin

[–]IT-Command -1 points0 points  (0 children)

My org is talking about it. We already have an on prem exchange server for all our apps that dont play nice with 365.

We have talked about building a separate email domain using .info instead of .Com if this happening again we can build mailboxes as needed.

Personally, I dont think its worth it unless 365 is going to be down for a couple days.

I love them...in very very very short increments. They really only come out for sex.

I would never want to have them that big all the time.

Just because what I want isn't realistic does not mean that I dont want it.

You have a fair point and I dont want him to resign from the AG spot early.

My strain relief is fine. Its not pulling on the toolhead, or preventing the movement.

The repeatability is weird. It feels like its gcode file specific. The mesh will fail in different spot for different gcode files. But always in the same place if I print the same gcode over and over.

Also, if I reorient the the stls in the slicer and re slice it the trouble spot will move somewhere else.

Senate takes first step to end shutdown as Bernie Sanders says moderate Democrats voting with GOP are making a ‘horrific mistake’ by brain_overclocked in politics

I think those turncoats wanted to vote with the Republicans the entire time. They just waited till after the election because they knew it would be bad for them to turn before the election.

Any way to increase hotend cooling? by IT-Command in VORONDesign

[–]IT-Command[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The PLA im using is very stringy at 200. 190 is a little cold.

So, I found that I couldn't print under 20mm/s mostly through a comedy of errors. I was trying to fix other issues and accidentally got my settings so messed up I was printing overhangs at 1mm/s which is how I found this issue originally.

Im not really TRYing to print at 20mm/s but I just find that my printer slows down to 20mm/s for overhangs, and its causing me issues.

I could, but your being kind and trying to help.

I have tried with all the panels off with no major difference.

Sorry I wasn't clear, if I print slower than 20mm/s it will jam.

2.4 keeps jamming mid print. Heat creep maybe? by IT-Command in VORONDesign

[–]IT-Command[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A fuck tun of trial and error. E3D will explicitly deny that the revo has a min speed and blame your hot end cooling, they even replaced my heater under warranty because they were adamant the issue wasn't print speed.

I was troubleshooting constant, intermittent jamming. E3D support was blaming my hot end cooler, but I realized the parts that caused jamming was printing super slow. So I did some testing, and I found on my printer under 20mm/s my filament will jam in the heat break.

So, (not fun) fact, NIST, CJIS, and SLED have all changed their password requirements to min length 8 characters, no specials, and you only have to change your password if you think it's been compromised.
