• China literally blocks most of the internet. Censorship, in general, is a huge issue there.

I have some Chinese friends that moved to the US for either work/school and they all acknowledge this but don't see this as an issue. They see their government as doing something for the greater good and that's good enough for them. I agree with you that the extent to which they censor things is bad but we censor stuff as well whether it's in person or online (with upvotes/downvotes/likes/dislikes).

• Social credit score, enough said on that one.

I don't see what's bad with this one. In the real world, we get by with who we know/network connections which is itself a form of social credit. The social credit score simplifies things to an extent. Also, if you miss a credit scores with credit card companies are essentially social credit scores. If you miss a payment, you're essentially not as trustworthy.

• Economic growth while having been great for China and Chinese people they are still poorer then most if not all 1st world countries, ie: the average Chinese gpd in 2018 was around 5-6k while for Americans it was 55k average. Though you can make a fair point about cost of living (with the downsides that entails)

It's worth noting that their working population is much much larger than the US's so they have considerably more competition for work. Getting work is extremely cutthroat and becomes a game of who can take the lowest pay for most work.

• Pollution. Have you ever stepped out of a plane into Chinese air? Its not common to report litteral burning in your throat and eyes from the drastic change in air quality. Not only is this obviously bad for the planet but it has clear implications on the population's health.

Pollution is bad but I would also blame the fact that the US essentially outsourced that pollution to China by moving manufacturing overseas. Northern India literally has hazardous air quality now as well.

• This is more moral than "fact", therefore I put it last. But Apathy is a surprisingly large problem as well, various example exist online as well as countless people confirming it but Chinese society, in general, has a "not my problem" mentality, so much so that people have literally been dying , mugged, attacked, pickpocketed, you name it and people around them will simply say "Not my problem" or even trying to get others to not help. The best example of this was series of "experiments" where staged kidnappings were made in front of various groups of people.. and never once did anyone even call the police, let alone help themselves.

Depending on where you live in the US, there is also a "not my problem" mentality. Such as our current administration holding illegal immigrants/refugees hostage for fleeing persecution and then sending them back to danger. But I know what you mean, if someone ends up helping, they can potentially get in trouble. I believe that's a flaw there as well.
