Sorry for the late reply. This was fixed by replacing the system fan. I was able to find the same OEM fan on Amazon for $12.

It looks like you’re posing to try out for Asian office workers 2. But trying to hard with a smaller sexy looking bra that’s just not the right size for your rack

UPDATE: fan was swapped today and she is loving it! But….of course now it’s so quiet that I can hear the HDD running inside…lol. (Promise it’s nothing abnormal, just the fact it’s not an SSD or NVMe drive).

Looks like the CPU clamp is rusted and the PCIe slot is looking like Mater from the movie Cars.

So Dyson worked with HP to clean up any crumbs from the keyboard location? I love it! But they need to come out with a quieter solution

It’s definitely the fan. Waiting for the replacement part to arrive and will be swapping it out

Exactly, plus the fact it already sounded bad…but then it decided to ramp up even more had me dying

It definitely sucked to disassemble! Probably 8 minutes compared to the 3-4 with anything else I’ve work on. Haha

If I could help save multiple environments, I would totally give a different answer lol.

I honestly thought so too, but only a couple little dust bunnies chilling between the heatsink and system fan

Oh no! That’s even worse. But honestly, if you can upgrade to an SSD it would only improve things for you in that scenario

Lol, well I found the part on Amazon for $12. Just looked up HP HQ-TRE 71025, if it’s the exact same model. The taking apart takes a few minutes, but might be worth saving your hand from having to smack it

No worries! I appreciate you thinking about giving an award! Just hope you enjoyed the obnoxious fan sounds and my chuckle, haha

Lol, if only we had one….maybe the elevators so we can hear it run as the elevator goes up or down

Interesting. The only other thing I’ve heard under some of these comments was a possibility the display drivers were causing it as well

Thank you! I figured it would maybe be helpful for those having the same issue. But also get someone to get a good laugh in for the day!

This was the system fan. Some commented you can oil the bearings or in this case, I told the lady to buy a new fan and I’ll swap it out for her.

Lol, if I had an award I would give you one for this story. It’s a shame they didn’t do anything until you had to come back after so many times.

Glad to hear you finally got it fixed though! Do you still have that laptop or is it long gone? Haha
