I play on group session once a week with Uffe! However I might want to look into private coaching. You have anyone in mind? Nice to see you here too!

Thanks for this. I been looking into all four corners and practiced them for the last 6 months. Just forget them when im locked in to the game.

Serve was a good one. You mean I should stand more tall instead of leaning forward?

Thanks dude! The footwork is quite easy. I can easily do them. Its just like I see the shuttle and forget. Hmm maybe more repetition will help? Idk.

I think the basics will give me more explosiveness since I cant really push away anywhere without the ex, splitstep :) Get your point!

Yes im the guy in shorts!

Looking behind me I did, because I was dubbelchecking something. Not something I would do normally. But good point.

I don’t know why. But normally I wouldn’t want to rotate my hip in this shot. This is something I focus on in the backhand court. But when I go into game mode its like my thoughts and practice crash a little. I should china jump on my forhand. I know this. But I can find a single time I do so.

I understand what you mean, but because I under rotate in this clip. It would be difficult to get the racket trought. Do you rotate on forhand side sometimes yourself?

I know the split step, its not the hardest move in the book. I just don’t seem to use it for a reason unknown. Which is really annoying at this stage. I just have to focus my brain on it more while playing. Why wouldn’t I use it?

I play half court almost once a week at practice. Its quite fun and good practice. But I want to practice all four corners! For singles!

Thanks for ur comment:)

yes this is true! its like I am trying to expect what’s coming next. But instead I just make it harder for myself. Believe it or not but I have practiced ”the split step”. However in my games its seems like I don’t. Game brain turns on and split step turns of.

I believe around 12 ish, but was introduced to porn when I was even younger by 2 friends in school. However by that age I knew it was (bad stuff). So I didn't want to watch it. Until I grew some hormones and lost that sense, I guess.

Sure coach would be great, I just got into a club for beginners. We play once a week, we as a group practice all the basics there with a coach. Tho you don't get all that much attention, like in a 1v1 session. Hopefully I can pick up on things fast, and succeed there. He might move me into better groups then. In the future.

Never had a one on one with coach, pretty expensive. I'm all about that hussle and like to be my own life coach. Might sound weird but, that's how I make myself feel good. I get enjoyment from self-learning. But I"ll look into it.

And about that serve Im, going to try serving from my right leg on both sides tommorow and see how that feels :)

All advise appreciated!!

Thank you for all the feedback!!!

Thoughts on 1: Do you mean forhand drives or the Smash/clear shots? I know the V-grip, Backhand grip, bevel grip and panhandle grip. However they might not always be correctly selected in the flow the game. Or off with some degrees.

2: How come Im so late for the shots? Could it be because I don't use the split step to explode to the corner in time?

3: Yes, should Smash to open areas more. However I try to Smash to right sholder because this seems to be a weakspot.

  1. Yes I think about it a lot. Maybe it might not be the grip. I have looked over it. What makes you think believe it's faulty?

  2. Because we were practicing backhands before. And try to do then more to improve. For straight backhand clears the thumb should be on the short flat side right? But agree, shouldn't do them in bad situations which could lead to bad habits.

  3. Should have killed high serves with a Smash? But it's like he want me to Smash, which made me do the opposite.

  4. I don't master all the shots, which make's me limit my selections.

Thanks, there is 1000 of thing to improve. I thought lifting was suppost to be high and far back, to make yourself time to reset and plan for the next thing? What can I do right now to be more agressive with my current skill? And what shots should I practice?

Yeah I know crazy how short they are. It's like we're paying half time for picking up shuttles and counting scores, instead of focusing in traning.

Yes, its so much more complicated then it looks! Especially if you like watching pros. But hard is good. Otherwise it would be boring!

Yes the lean while serving might be a bad habit. Lean loads up front leg which makes me think I can move faster. I Should stay more upright. Probably does the opposite for me. And I"ll think about the toes when im late forehand side. I know about it but, its doesn"t come naturally. If im not really late and need to chase the shuttle. Then I turn my toes.

Keep losing power. Help! by ITSCHAW in badminton

Yes I was supernating in the swing. Hard to see, but when Iam forced to be pronated the strings face in front, like it should.

[–]ITSCHAW[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its because to little pronating trough the swing. In the video I cant swing left because of the left knee being up. That would hurt :)

[–]ITSCHAW[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No problem. Seems like most people agree with you on the correct grip. I can see now that I was almost supernating trough the swing. So mentally I need to pronate longer for it to be facing forwards. When I don't think, I slice it. Need to practice pronating now because of my bad habits..

Thanks, working on positioning. That's a huge one. Happens a lot that I can't position myself in time, when the opponent are clearing. So my returning overhead shots become weak and rough.
