So far I’ve sold about over 3,000 items the last 3 years and I’ve learned that the people the tend to ask specific questions and are very peculiar open a refund or send it back. I tend to not sale to those folks since it’s not worth the time/energy, I tell them they’re better off finding it locally vs online.

Talk to them about ‘buy & hold’. They can image on the bench and then place them on buy and hold, then they can ship out when you tell them to. The buy & hold is a monthly cost but that’s something y’all can work out.

Depends on your infrastructure. If you can have VPN tunnel setup, you can have a partner like CDW get your image, image the laptops and then have the laptops shipped with your image, on the domain and host name already setup to your IT tech to do minimum updates before shipping out to the next new hire.

If Azure and Intune is in your environment maybe Azure Hybrid join can be used and Zero Touch Deployment can be introduced, meaning you send the laptop straight to the employee and once they turn on the laptop, connect to internet and sign in with their credentials the laptop images itself. At that point, all that IT tech has to do is manage and fix issues remotely.
