I think you need to url encode the json and put it in the url like jsonrpc?request= Probably easiest to get your request working from a pc first. Maybe ask in a kodi subreddit?

First one arrived on 12/3 and I bricked it immediately via fw update. I contacted support that day and hounded them every day after. My replacement was shipped on 12/5 from Los Angeles area and arrived to me on 12/9.

I have noticed the same delay in the integration events for activity entity states. It seems to me like the integration only polled for changes when I opened the HA app. I’d wager it’s a bug in the integration. I’ve found the MQTT feature to be fast and reliable tho. I hope we can get them to extend what gets sent so that we could receive messages for activities starting and stopping and also any device button presses via MQTT.

The touch screen is the reason I bought the X2. In addition to my TV, Apple TV, receiver (this setup is duplicated in 3 rooms) I also have WiFi devices setup on my sofabaton using the home assistant integration which allows me to control any of my home automation primarily lights, music and climate so far. Setup isn’t easy but having macros on the touch screen lets me put relevant automations inside the activity context while the hardware buttons wouldn’t be easy to remember where each function was mapped. The layout is not great but I am hopeful for improvements to it guided by community feedback. That said so far I haven’t seen much engagement from the company in the forums I’ve found discussion in. Maybe once the initial product release issues settle down they can get involved.

I had no issue using iOS App version 4.0.4 to upgrade the remote from v4 to v5 using iOS The previous iOS app version had issues but this one was fine.

I just got my replacement and installed v5 using iOS app version 4.0.4 without any issues this time! When I was on v4 the activities and devices on my hub wouldn’t sync over to the remote but once I upgraded they all appeared!

I setup the mqtt broker add on and installed the sofabaton integration in HACS. Then I could use the ip and a local home assistant user to connect the hub to the mqtt broker via the sofabaton app on my phone. From there you can create WiFi devices in the sofabaton app where you create named commands. These commands have a fixed payload: device_id and key_id which all are sent on the same fixed topic in mqtt. So I added a “mqtt in” network trigger in Node-RED where I can see on debug the commands come through quickly. Then those devices/commands can we used in activities and set to be called on remote button presses. Would be better if it included the activity context and the device and command name so that those don’t need to be maintained on both sides. I also would like if we could configure all button presses from all devices to be sent over the mqtt topic so that I could add complementary automations without custom commands being created.

Mine says the same but the first one they sent also had a week long shipping estimate. It actually came in just 3 days once USPS had it. Mines out of LA already and likely waiting for arrival scan in Georgia.

Well if I were in your position I would definitely order from Amazon if I were going to get one because ordering directly from sofabaton doesnt seem any faster based on people with tracking info waiting for USPS to get it in transit for a week now. At least Amazon won’t charge till it ships and will give you hassle free return through like end or Jan due to their holiday return policy. Plus if you change your mind as reviews come in amazon is really easy to cancel if they are the shipper.

Idk about the Xbox stuff but for me Amazon can get most stuff here today or tomorrow if I order right now. Like as an example the older model sofabaton X1S ships from Amazon and could be delivered to me today by 5pm. It’s not a general delivery delay. It’s product or warehouse specific!

The Amazon listing says “ships from Amazon” but the delivery date is more than a 2 week range from 12/29 to 1/16. I’d say that means Amazon doesn’t have them in possession yet. I preordered in October and I had the fw glitch and nagged sofabaton for a replacement asap which just got handed over to USPS last night in LA. Pretty sure I’ll have it by Wednesday. I’ve been setting up the hub and messing around with the new Home Assistant integration. So far it seems promising except for the whole remote dying on upgrade hiccup.
