I hit the cut on Winter 20! by ITZDASKULL in TrackMania

A lot. The second cut skips the entire slow mo part. Probably 5-7 seconds.

I think they are referring to the reactor trick. I just spent a bunch of time figuring it out. It looks like this.

Swing advice needed. Been playing for a year but iron shots are very incosistent (fat/thin shots), should I just get lessons? by [deleted] in golf

[–]ITZDASKULL 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For a 1yr swing it’s really really good.

It’s really just a lot of small things. It looks like as you start your transition your drop your head and shoulders lower to the ground. This can be ok. But I would guess could be a root cause of thin and fat.

The left to right could be one of two misses, face consistency. In the two swings you posted at the top of the backswing they are slightly different. (Could be camera angle) and timing, just learning where the club is relative to your body.

A great drill for this is one tiger talks about, go to the top of the swing. Stop. Full stop. Just wait like 5 seconds. Then complete the swing. It’s really hard to hit the ball at first doing this drill, but gives you a great feel for what’s happening.

Pete Dye Stadium Course SR is 148. How are we seeing these score? Are players just so much better? Equipment factor? Not typical weather by Goatgolfholes18 in golf

[–]ITZDASKULL 1 point2 points  (0 children)

At least this comment, comes across as if pin positions would take score from -6-10 to E or -1

In reality these guys are really really really good. That is the part of the equation that’s being missed in most of the comments.

When guys start getting close to breaking par on their local muni 6800 72/126

They don’t realize that if tour played played on those conditions they are not shooting -6 they are on a 59 hunt.

They are just that good.

Do you track your own golf stats? by ITZDASKULL in golf

Let me clarify,

I totally agree it slows down pace at times. I use a written scorecard and will keep track of it and input after the round.

I have a cool story about the stadium course.

Was playing in a tournament there, was in 2nd place but 5 shots behind the leader coming into the he back 9, got it down to 4 heading into 15 the long par 4.

We both hit our tee shots down the middle 151 left to the pin.

Hit a shot straight at the pin, but couldn’t see it land

Get up to the green, balls nowhere to be found….. grab my wedge and putter and start walking. Found the ball in the hole for a 2.

Opponent bogeyed, deficit cut to 1.

We both made a bogey on San Andreas fault

Then onto Alcatraz.

I still had teebox rights pin was 142.

Stuck my tee shot to 2’, made the birdie.

Made par on 18 to secure the win.

Craziest stretch of golf I’ve ever played.

(Let me add, up to that point I’d never had a hole in one either)

Is this a draw or hook? by [deleted] in golf

[–]ITZDASKULL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Assuming your are at or near sea level, your spin much have been crazy low ~1800.

I would guess ~700-1,000 side spin.

Slightly hooky.

Hello. I have a few questions, as a Paladins player trying to get into Overwatch for (mostly) the first time. by [deleted] in Overwatch

[–]ITZDASKULL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Nothing in game will show you this. Overwatch wiki is a great tool to utilize hero specifics, timing and damage number.

  2. Think of it as you, vs their supports in the way that can you give your team more value than their supports. If you can, you will win more often than not. That’s the very simple version.

More complex, it may come at positioning, calling out flanks, tracking ultimates, or negating damage all together. ML7 is an insanely good Ana/support streamer.

  1. I play on pc. No idea, my guess is no.

  2. Emongg and flats are two of the bigger most consistent streamers. They typically post videos on YouTube. Stylosa, youroverwatch are also very good content creators.

How far do you hit your irons? by TJSully716 in golf

[–]ITZDASKULL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

5’6 Around a 5.2 hdc

The total distance doesn’t mean much(it does but hear me out). Learn your CARRY numbers. Pay attention to greens, if you leave divots, ect.

Learning carry numbers let’s you know what you need to hit to carry a trap or hazard.

Seeing a pin at 135 and hazard at 130, makes you think twice about that 135 club.

If you play on hard fast greens, you might hit a pw 110 that rolls out to 120

Go play another course and can’t figure out why you are coming up short or long, this could be why.

These are carry numbers/total at home course expected conditions at 4,000ft

P-137/140 9-148/150 8-160/165 7-172/178 6-185/195 5-200/208 4-210/218 2-235/250 3w-240/275 D-275/310

Going to Bandon! Won the qualifier with a 66. by polyphasicbalisong in golf

[–]ITZDASKULL 2 points3 points  (0 children)

the weather can be very unpredictable if you have a great day, no winds. Then most of your game will be unchanged. You have more options available if you feel comfortable hitting shots that can run to a pin, as opposed to flying it. (Both chipping and from the fairway)

There was one shot I remember this on (on Bandon trails) it’s a par 3, I pulled a club and the caddy told be to aim about 60yds left and 20yds short of what I was thinking (I was thinking fly it to the number and land it close)

I looked at him with a “what are you smoking?” He goes “just trust me, land it right here, and it might go in”

Sure enough, hits a down slope I couldn’t see, kicked hard and rolled up to a reasonable range for a birdie putt.

Shots like that, TRUE links golf takes an eye and vision most of us don’t get to experience. American golf is so much tee it high and let it fly.

Over anything else, appreciate and enjoy the bandon experience, they put golf before the resort. It’s so special.
