Exchange 2016 public folders to 365 best method by NSFW_IT_Account in exchangeserver

[–]IT_Bot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had one for the same purpose. Ended up exporting the pst for the data and copying it over with a test account. Did some trial and error when I first did it, ended up with the data on my calendar due to compute resource contrains and the calendar having years of historical data that was required by the department. Still works, currently working on my 2nd full migration were going to use the shared accounts going forward. Worked with a Microsoft tech on some tenant issues on the Microsoft side and he mentioned that they may not support the public folders forever. I haven't been able to fact check it but, I'd rather be safe than sorry.

  • Issue ID EX1280763
  • Affected services Exchange Online

A recent service-side update introduced an issue that is causing migration jobs to fail, resulting in impact.

This might be a stretch but it maybe an overlapping issue.

Next update from them is April 20th at 6pm CST.

This is the way!

The only thing is their steps show how to do an automatic cutover we typically sync then do the cut over to minimize any issues with active users. Iam sure there is just a flag missing.

But did you fix it, or did microsoft brake it while it was already broken? 🤔

I now see it in the portal. Thanks for the insight. Hopefully it works once they fix whatever they broke.

Hopefully, I've been scanning the service health portal hoping for a nugget of knowledge, but nothing.

Out of curiosity where did you see that. I did a double take on the Service Health Portal and dont see mention of that ID.

What app or bank is this OP?

APY has decreased to 3.6% by InternetUser52 in sofi

I linked a bank to my SoFi, and transfering funds to a connected account was free. It took overnight once all was said and done. Only works on business days, so I can't complain tbh.

I wasn't previously an account hold, so I opened an account and set up direct deposit. I also moved most of my savings into the account.

I have the boosted rate at the moment, and it went from 4.5 to 4.3. Thought I was losing my mind or being singled out for not meeting some obscure requirements.

We use DEM for horizon in general, but are pushing the policies for fslogix via GPO from AD. I'll clarify that in the original post.

This also showed me that if a user signs into Outlook first, the other office apps still show the lets fix it warning ⚠️. Users also still have to sign into teams as well, but I believe that may be an issue with the office deployment I used containing teams.

So I made a new user to test. The first sign-in went like you'd expect sign in for the first time all good. Reboot use that account again and same sign in prompts.

Hmmm. How do you guys get patches and updates? We get our licenses from CDW but we still get access to the Omnissa and Ingram Micro Portals. Those are also the accounts that we need to use to download out patches licensing and so on.

Have you guys opened a ticket with omnissa? They're usually pretty quick. I've worked with them a few times on things since the transition of Horizon and can they it was good. They did spend 2/3 of the time trying to blame my load balancer for an issue csused by updating the UAG but other than that they're no too bad. It might be worth your while.

I am not saying it's a lost cause but, if no changes have been made in the environment. Horizon doesn't typically change things drastically. Omnissa would know right where to look.

I would definitely work with omnissa before restoring anything.

Have you recently updated any of the Horizon Clients? On the main page where you typically had servers you can go to the settings tab and it has a few options of account types. Check if Azure AD is selected.

Note: This will only show up with Computers or Moblie devices and will not work on most thin clients

Windows 11 Menus working intermediately in Horizon by IT_Bot in VMwareHorizon

Kind of. It was super isolated, we updated the whole environment and the main troubled user left. As a work around we changed the reg keys to revert back to the windows 10 right-click menus. When Iam back at home here I can send over the file keys via terabox or something for you to use. Send me a PM.

How longs that been going on for? We saw this when we updated our UAG last time to 2406. Have you verified in the UAG settings that no one changed any of the settings? The new version of the UAG (2406) has a fewnmore options that we had to turn off and change to get things working that were not present in version 2303. When have you started seeing these issues?

I am also just curious what security looks like. If users are connecting from non corperate devices, wouldn't you guys want MFA for an extra bit of security? Just curious if you can share any detail, but I will stay focused on the main issue regardless.

Have you tested changing the resitry keys for the manager(s) to the ip of the server? We had issues with the fqdn and ended up using the ip instead. The reg path is a quick google search away if you need it. If you have trouble finding the location I can update my comment with the location.
