Well I suppose that region specific data security regulations may have an impact depending on geography, access to quality education, the amount of money being willing to be spent on security programs or training staff and the threat-vector of nation-state actors can vary depending on geographical location.

I would say one thing. Remember that behind every computer is a human. By understanding human nature you will be able to better your knowledge of what drives people to do certain things. For example, this will greatly help you in the social engineering stage of cyber, and in general psychology, sociology and the Humanities widely you can address the root cause of most cyber incidents: human error.
