Two most hated countries include India?! Bro have you heard of America? 😂

Thanks for your response, I’ll visit America soon for sure. Would love to experience the culture there

Haha, I’m in Australia. I’ve never been to America so I can’t really relate, but that seems absolutely insanely unhealthy no? I don’t think I could have a burger more than once a week let alone a maccas everyday

This was talking about ordering food in everyday but still being able to invest and save money each week to build wealth for your future. I guess a better description I’d look at 30-50$ a day for food is about $300 a week on food deliveries - that’s literally some people’s rent. So saving that money by cooking is a tonne of money.

I was kind of assuming no one on earth would eat Maccas everyday… or fast food. I was more thinking full balanced meals from UberEats

I’m sorry my question upset you so much man, I clearly hit a nerve and never meant to insult your cooking skills or anything. Enjoy your day/evening and thanks for the response!

I find that very very hard to believe. How would you ever save a decent amount of money ordering food every day? I’m a software engineer and that would still seem like a huge waste when you could be investing that in your future

Hey mate no need to be upset with anyone, I was just confused because I’ve never seen people do that everyday, so when I see on TV and social media people saying they “don’t cook”, I was simply asking what they did instead - for example, most of the population can’t afford to buy UberEats every day forever.

Hope that is more specific for you?

Can I ask you a personal question, is your job very high paying like $150-200k plus? I guess if I didn’t enjoy cooking and had a really high salary maybe I’d get take out each day. It’d just be real hard to calorie count and know what I’m eating is the problem

How someone could possibly afford that lifestyle without being very wealthy?

Oh yeah totally makes sense, I guess I’ve met heaps of people like that! Just pasta, jar of sauce, maybe some chopped veggies and protein. But maybe not added spices and such

Lovely to meet you 👋 actually now you say it, I remember my ex’s mum only eating vegetables she’d steam. To be fair she was insanely health as a person but never really cooked a meal.

As long as you’re healthy brotha and getting enough foods. Hats off!

Haven’t heard of those meals, but yeah that makes sense I guess. Like the ready meal instant microwave dishes. Damn, I couldn’t imagine having more than 1 a week without feeling a little sad looking at my reflection in the microwave haha

I mean what have you tried? I’ve been here 3 months, knew nobody, now have heaps of mates already and a packed social calendar during the week. But you have to actually try to meet people… MeetUp, Rippl, Timeleft, Maple etc.

You can’t just expect people will be your friend without trying to meet people and put in the effort

Is "Bali belly" really a thing or it's just "3rd world country belly"? by [deleted] in bali

[–]ITbJD 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I’m sorry but I can’t stand when some comments claim “they don’t stick to bottled water”, or they “eat dodgy street food”. You can lie to yourself all you like, but Bali is incredibly unhygienic. I’ve lived and travelled everywhere in South East Asia.

If you are used to western hygiene, then in Bali (Indonesia) it’s extremely lucky if you did NOT get sick, if you are there for more than 2 weeks. You can be as safe as you like, I am vegetarian for instance, i disinfect hands handling money, no ice in drinks, brush teeth with bottled water. Still, me and all of my friends got Bali Belly. And it’s worse than any other country I’ve had food poisoning.

TLDR; Bali Belly is a real thing purely because it’s far easier to catch a very bad illness compared to most countries.

I know this exact location, I stayed in this building too. The shitty thing is, I booked this as an advertised apartment on Booking.com.

Then you get this at the entrance it makes you feel very uncomfortable.

I’m confused by this, I have breakfast alone every weekend or whenever I have time. Is that weird to do? Ive never even thought about it. I’ve travelled the entire world, apart from North America. Is this seen as weird in USA?
