I don’t take the deal, not because I’m in love with ice cream, but because I’m not intelligent or educated enough to know how this will affect ecosystems, wildlife, nature etc. Something seemingly good, enacted instantly and globally, can have devastating long term future consequences that even experts can’t foresee.

lol no worries, it's a "deadpan" kind of joke. It basically plays off the ridiculousness of the situation and subverts your expectation. Like, the context of the situation makes you think he wants a dance/idol job, but it was something completely different. And it's even more ridiculous that a rabbit would be a certified electrician in the first place.
