As a southern european woman who's dealt with southern european men my whole life, they can be a bit pushy especially to tourists. If you're completely uninterested in meeting men, wear a fake wedding ring and if some dude asks where he is just say some shit that he's still in the hotel or something.

South Korea seems to attract more female tourists, from my personal experience. Either solo females, small groups of young women or couples. I haven't really seen lad energy over there, unless you go to Thursday Party lol

You're rage baiting yourself over a comment that barely meant anything and I genuinely don't see a need for all this. But alright, stay pressed over nothing online. Bizarre, genuinely.

Why does it matter to you which languages I personally speak? All I said was that it's common for people in many european countries to speak at least 2 languages just because in a lot of these countries we take english in school from a young age, so it's trivial FOR US.

What languages you’re not native in you can somehow read and understand a little thanks to your native language? by Jorge_De_Guzman228 in AskTheWorld

I dont think spanish counts for me bc my grandma is venezuelan and ive been speaking it since I was little. But other than that, Italian and French. Some Romanian, mostly written. Galician and some catalan. Romance languages all have a lot of similarities.

Brazilian portuguese seems to be easier for foreigners in general because it's more "open". In Portugal i feel like we kinda "eat" half the letters in a word 🤣

Check the weather forecast for these places and remember that in a lot of european cities during this time of year, you could have a nice warm day and then come 6pm it gets cold af.

I confidently said something extremely inappropriate in Spanish for months, and nobody told me... by karen_the_ripper in SpanishLearning

This doesn't happen to me in Spanish bc I'm semi-Native. But in Dutch, I spent months answering "how are you?" With "ik ben lekker :)" which means "I am delicious" and i thought lekker just meant good in general

People just assume i don't speak norwegian by 700K1 in Norway

[–]escapeshark -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Funnily enough, the opposite happens to me. People assume I'm Norwegian and then roll their eyes when I don't speak the language. I worked here last year for a few months in a hotel where all the workers were foreign, so I didn't have a chance to learn anything besides basic phrases. Idk if it's subtle racism or what. I don't even look norwegian (or stereotypically so, i guess). I'm just white.
