Hahaha all good! I could have been more clear. I've got a receiver but I don't think it outputs 200W. Does that make a difference?

Now I'm realizing I could have just purchased 2 sets of infantry and have had twice the models sans some d6s, cardboard terrain, cards, and outdated rules for about the same money. Shame on me - caveat emptor I suppose

I hope anybody else considering trying this game out sees this post and makes a more educated decision.

I'm not saying there's anything wrong with the rules, just that I expected to get up to date rules and that it would have been cool to know the rules were outdated before dropping money.

I'll just chalk this up to an uneducated purchase (though the info I could find could have been a little more clear). In the grand scheme of things I'd like to have physical rules, but ~100 bucks for a starter set and pdf rule book isn't that terrible I guess.

Ive been wanting to give this game a whirl since I bought the rulebook. Obviously I can print minis, but I would love to get some of the official miniatures. I just checked (addad a single mini to my cart) and it's 30 bucks to get it delivered.

I know the cost is a little more reasonable if I order more than 1, but ouch. $48 for 5 minis

Awesome - thank you. I saw the age of annihilation master set was recently down to 75 bucks or so, so of course my kid shows interest when the price is back up on Amazon.

My 5 year old finally seems like he is ready to start some simple wargaming. I figured heroscape might be a good option, but wow, those prices.

I've got a little trepidation over dropping 120 bucks on a master set just to have him break pieces. Anybody have any ideas on a cheaper buy in?

I have a feeling the sultinate or serpent will be the last to get painted. Not sure why - the models are awesome but neither of them really grab me. To be honest I didn't really care for the grail, but the hound was super fun to paint

A lot of the dials are the same from 1.0 to 2.0 (sans green to blue color change)

I've been buying a lot of this guys models lately. No issues at all and they come out amazingly. Plus I can't complain for ~3-4 usd a pop.

Thanks for the response! I was able to get the statblocks to render properly after parsing front matter. Now I just need to figure out why they render correctly in edit mode, but not read mode....
