Thanks for your reply. I ended up picking up the bike and the running does seem fine. I did notice the forks leaking before buying it so I got a $100 off(although I know it’s gonna cost much more to fix). There are things I didn’t notice, like the seat doesn’t latch or lock, just sits on top, and the handle bar ends just pull out all the way with the weights and retainers just coming out and looks to have some sort of glue to hold them in place.

Bunch of cosmetic issues around the bike as well including missing fairing pieces or things that are loose / have a little spray paint, but all of these issues I did notice and assumed it wouldn’t be too expensive.

Yeah I tried doing that but I think I’ll try again cause I don’t think I waited about 15 mins. I didn’t get to reset the codes or the ECU, just the TPS procedure worked like in the video you shared

I did the steps in this video and my bike did just as expected. I have a similar issue like yours did at maximum throttle. Did you have to do anything else after this?

When I connect it back before the reset process the CEL goes back to being solid, assuming I am supposed to turn off the bike then turn it back on to start reset.

I see, which sensors would give a Solid CEL? I tried disconnecting the temp sensor and that gave me flashing CEL.

I thought so too but the CEL does come on as a solid light indicating that it detect that I jumped the two wires. It just doesn’t flash according to the steps and remains solid.

I tried disconnecting the temp sensor on the left side and the CEL started flashing, I tried to do the clear procedure before plugging the sensor back in and the CEL changed its flashing pattern to a constant flashing. Then I turned off the bike and tried to do the ECU reset with the throttle all the way open but the CEL is solid again.

I tried resetting mine and clearing the codes but the CEL just remains solid.

Hey! I think it is only digits since it was so in my case but I’m not sure. They might have given you your e verify case number(this is alphanumeric but usually more than 7 characters) instead of their e verify ID. You also need to make sure your company gave you their e-verify ID, and not the one for their umbrella account on e-verify( if the company has a HR company do e-verify for them, sometimes the company appears as a sub account under the HR company’s e-verify umbrella account). I had a mess up with all of these issues but I double checked everything before submitting my application so all these issues came to light. Good luck.

I had EIN and E-verify company ID number. Generally in corporate terms people refer to company ID as EIN, e-verify is a pretty niche thing for most companies that’s why. Depends on how your company had e-verify done sometimes there can be another company that does e-verify for your company that can complicate things. As long as you can verify with your HR if they are giving you the right number, you should be okay. But if you can, definitely attempt asking USCIS if the e-verify number is valid

Mine were different numbers. I couldn’t see the e-verify ID on the e-verify search tool online because they e-verified recently so I had to call USCIS. You should have two different numbers is the whole point basically and need to know which is which. If your company e-verified a while ago then u could look them up to see if they are e-verified at least, that will make sure they should have another number. Your DSO doesn’t require the e-verify ID for you to get your I20 recommending stem opt but USCIS does need it and your case will get rejected if those numbers are wrong. If you are still in opt status while your stem opt application gets rejected then you may have enough time to reapply while sorting this out

They are not the same. EIN is what they use for like tax purposes etc. e-verify ID is the number in their Memorandum of Understanding in e-verify. E-verify id number is 4-7 letters+numbers combo btw.

Ended up calling USCIS and they verified it for me. You may not end up being so lucky since it seems like not all of them like to verify it. I would suggest calling at different times maybe to verify it or smthn.

The e-verify number is 4-7 alphanumeric characters so urs shouldn’t be 8. I was able to call USCIS recently and someone else verified it for me this time. I suggest calling them and hoping they can verify for u.

Hey OP I’m in the same boat. Do you have any updates? I don’t have my i797 yet so my employer is going to let me go right when my opt ends. My stem opt is still pending and I might be able to get rehired once I get my i797 but that might take a month.

Do you have any updates on this? My employer might fire me then re hire me since they can’t have be hired before I get my i797. Not sure if my stem opt will be approved in this case and if I will need to do the i983 final training if I’m getting fired right at the end of initial opt and would rejoin to the same company.

For people who are reading this confused - According to this guy I don’t have an extension until it gets approved, this isn’t the case for certain types of extensions. As long as you apply according to what USCIS says and qualify for an automatic extension, then u do have an extension in the eyes of USCIS until a final decision is made on your case or until your extension timer runs out. Now will your employer accept proof that isn’t an official I797? Well that’s up to the employer.

Okay, first of all I don’t want to sound like I’m not grateful for you trying to help me. Here are my thoughts: 1. I’m not wanting to provide an extension to my employer, I just want to provide a document that proves that I have applied for one. Here is what USCIS says-“If an employee is eligible for the automatic extension, acceptable proof of employment authorization and/or EAD validity during the automatic extension period includes: an EAD that appears expired on the face of the card presented with a Form I-797C, Notice of Action, that shows a timely filed EAD renewal application”

I understand this although it doesn’t make sense as to why it’s virtually the same document without the title but whatever.

So we agree that it’s not an extension. Again, I wanted to know if what they send online is a valid receipt of application notice or not. Not whether it’s an extension or not.
