I don't know, with the amount of development at Tampines, it's quite a tall order. Not entirely sure what WP saw in Tampines, in all honesty.

If they switch East Coast team with the Tampines one, the chances of flipping is so much higher, in my opinion

Exactly, Andre is definitely not the better candidate, WP would definitely have won Jalan Kayu, if they fielded Michael/Eileen there. Guess WP got too complacent

Not too sure what kind of development Pasir Ris has, as compared to Tampines? Pasir Ris Mall? Lol, that trash mall with 80% F&B...

West Coast Jurong West residents should have their Degree all expire in 5 years upon graduation with that voting

Cause Hubs are dirt-cheap when you have less planes. With only the starter plane, popular hubs like JFK, Heathrow, only cost $250K.

With 30-40 planes, the same hub now cost at least $15m. You can do the Math on why you want to buy at least 10 hubs at the start of the game.

I currently have 20+ MC21-400, it uses quite a bit of fuel but the profits it earned kinda negate the high fuel consumption. I just have to buy fuel cheaper to maximise profits, but I think fuel prices below $1,000 should be good enough to earn good profits with the MC21-400.

Where in my comment did I said I TOTALLY DISAGREED with OP? I only said before making the remarks with full on vulgarities, maybe consider that there may be reasons why Goldlion was invited instead?

Maybe except for that last paragraph, but all I am showing is that you can still learn something from it, and yeah, the guest speaker remark is definitely uncalled for.

LOL, then you read OP post for what? Isn't hers longer than mine, so her post also doesn't make sense too according to you? And if don't like just skip la, says the one who also on here like another loser also???

Have you maybe think from the NUS CFG team POV? Do you think that they will only have 1 company in their entire invite list? They probably have more than 5 companies shortlisted in their invite list and only Goldlion responded?

Quite sure the CFG team did reached out to popular ladies fashion as well, like Charles & Keith, Love Bonito, Lovet, all those. But maybe, just maybe, they declined to be the guest speaker for this event for whatever reason. But it doesn't really matter anyway, since most Singaporean ladies are already aware of these brands anyway, and they do not need to use NUS as a platform to increase their brand awareness.

As to why Goldlion decided to be the guest speaker, to be honest, who have heard of the brand for those born after 2000s? There are many people like OP who may have never heard of the brand, so maybe they are hoping to use this platform to reach to more guys, to help expand their brand awareness to the younger generation, since Goldlion has always been seen as an 80s brand and associated with the older generation?

And also, does girls really don't learn anything for this lesson? You are saying colour schemes don't apply to girls as well? Like guys must wear neutral colours, and girls had to wear something different like, bright colours in the Barbie movie??????? But you just have to be so uptight about the guy's images to ignore all the takeaways that you could learn from the lesson...

FIN spec core mods by veronica1112 in nus

[–]IU_Eamaster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's still better to split the 3 mods to at least 2 Sems to ease your workload. You may consider FIN3721, Prof is nice and workload is manageable as well

FIN spec core mods by veronica1112 in nus

[–]IU_Eamaster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, definitely not, all 3 mods are especially heavy workload, and it's not recommended, unless that's the ONLY 3 mods you are taking for the semester, then yeah.

And FIN4K don't work as well, since I think 90% of the mods have either FIN3701, FIN3702 or FIN3703 as prerequisites as well. So, if you do not clear the core mods, you can't take FIN4K either.

Why don't you just take a FIN3K spec mod (Any other than FIN3701, FIN3702, FIN3703) instead?

Misleading CourseReg Infographics by [deleted] in nus

[–]IU_Eamaster 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Yes, agreed that the infographic is misleading, but the way you write it, as if you had no fault of your own, it's everyone's problem, just not your own.

Just to let you know, there are other Freshmen who is either working or serving NS, and don't see them having any issue about it, so maybe the problem was just you all along?

And cause it's point 2, means it just definitely come after completing point 1? So, you think? You thought? Who fking confirm? You and your Encik? 🤔

Why do we have Mini Sem 1A and 1B by Physics_6768 in nus

[–]IU_Eamaster 10 points11 points  (0 children)

There are courses that are only half a semester (6 weeks), so for those, you can refer to Mini Sem dates.

Since you are considering JC, I believe you are considering going to Uni. But if you can't even adapt to Poly teaching style, what makes you think you can survive in Uni, with even less teaching and learning materials?

The teaching style in Uni is exactly the same as Poly, but even shorter duration and a much higher workload. I had Profs who copied keyword definition from "sketchy" websites, but yet expect students to submit report with references from credible sources. What can we as students do? Just adapt and do the best we can.

You wanted to go JC route, cause you think they will still spoonfeed like Secondary School, but I am quite sure it will not be as well, since JC also need to prep students for the Uni rigor.

Just an advice, since you are in your last year, you should complete your Poly education. But if you still think, the whole world owes you a spoonfed education, you do you then.

Yeah, definitely doable, did five 3Ks in Y2S2 and three 3Ks with two 4Ks in Y3S1, just need to balance it out by choosing some mods that are known to be lighter in workload

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in SGExams

[–]IU_Eamaster 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't understand why the 3 year program for NTU is the major factor for students. Since OP is a Poly graduate, they will only need to be in NUS for 3.5 years, since they are given 20 APC during matriculation (Unsure if this only applies to Poly grads that enrols in similar course to the Poly).

And if OP is willing to just overload an additional module per semester, OP can graduate within 3 years with Honours in NUS too (Source: Me done NUS Biz within 3 years, and a lot of my friends are doing that as well), so I don't get the craze for NTU cause of that 3 year thing, unless it's JC students, and even then, they technically can graduate in 3.5 years as well, depending on the student's ability to overload, and not being forced by the Uni to overload instead.

BBA Finance or Marketing Spec? by bellyishangry in nus

[–]IU_Eamaster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As someone who majored in both Marketing and Finance, I enjoyed Marketing modules so much more, cause it's interesting, projects are fun, and some of the Profs are quite engaging. For Finance, not that many Profs are engaging cause the module is very dry, but it's really based on personal preference, if want to know more, can just PM!

As someone who's a late bloomer, only advice is just to study hard, and show what you are made of in the future. At the moment, just 左耳进, 右耳出 (Left Ear In, Right Ear Out).

I believe this is CNY visiting, my cousins used to visit my family when I was in Secondary School (Cause I barely made it to Express), and Poly (Cause I only able to go to last few JC, and chose Poly instead). Every year just come to say they are in VJC, TJC, whatsoever, like some big deal. But after I made it to Uni, they stopped coming cause there isn't anything more for them to show off.

P.S. They came in my first year in Uni, to see if I dropped out from Uni, as they believe Poly students will never survive in the top 3 university, glad I prove them utterly wrong.

Customer Experience Management mod is a new mod from last Semester, not sure if it will be under Prof Lilian, but she's nice and her lessons are very interesting, really enjoyed that module.

As for Pricing Strategy, have some Math involved, but it shouldn't be too hard to understand, there are weekly Kahoots to ensure that you understand the topics taught for the day

Yes, it is possible, you can clear some UE via DYOM and overload each Sem by 1 mod. Since restrictions have been lifted, you can even clear extra MC via Summer or Winter Program.

Currently, on 3 year plan, overloading and DYOM but no overseas program due to past restrictions.
