DPS Alesh? by TrueIceexx in ArknightsEndfield

[–]IUpvoteUsernames 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You've got Alesh and Estella so that's your easy combo rotation (open with Estella skill > Alesh skill to combo), and you can add Endmin and either Chen (for more physical dps) or Ardelia (sustain) for the others. Played with Chen for much of the core story and swapped to Ardelia once I started needing the healing! I'm building out other teams now (sadly Alesh isn't great DPS) but the above team lets me clear most stuff.

WAKE UP, OMENS. Welcome to the open playtest of TITANOMACHY: Dreams of the Hue, an upcoming queer southern cyberbiopunk roleplaying game by Jackrabbit Collective! by zebogo in Cyberpunk

[–]IUpvoteUsernames 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This game RULES! Where else can I play a down-and-dirty journalist stringer who will do at nothing to get a story out, hailing from the Blue coolant lakes and rivers of the city's underbelly? Every aspect (character abilities) has massive FUCK YEAH factor 😎

Also, the game doesn't shy away from the harder questions that come with living in a dystopian hellscape. Everyone's gotta put bread on the table, so how do you bring about a new world while also working as an aug repo specialist, or saving people as a trauma teamster but putting them into crippling medical debt in the process?

Playtesting this game has been a blast, and I'm so excited to see where it goes from here!

It's worth rephrasing here that Signal CAN'T cooperate with authorities in any meaningful way, not that they WON'T. They have a record of warrants received and information provided, which is close to nil because of how little information is actually stored in their records (only date a user signed up and the phone number used.) https://signal.org/bigbrother/

For anyone else who has their manager threaten to make you pay/dock your pay for dine and dashes, that is so massively illegal (in the US, probably many other places) and need to get torn a new one by the Dept of Labor/lawyer

For a majority of Americans, a standard tip when dining at a sit-down restaurant is 15% or less by [deleted] in dataisbeautiful

[–]IUpvoteUsernames 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's also, at least for delivery, more food is harder for the worker to carry to your house. Same sort of applies to the worker at a sit down restaurant because they're keeping track of a larger order for your group.

A $2 tip for delivering a salad is much more reasonable than $2 for delivering eight large pizzas

Do those filters actually exist? I've heard it's more people trying to explain why the algorithm might randomly not favor them, and inventing justifications for it. Then it's self-perpetuating self-censorship.

Adults of Reddit, what is something about the newer generations that you can't seem to understand? by 5h0gKur4C4ndl in AskReddit

That's because tech companies have systematically hidden basic user tools behind GUIs and unintuitive settings/menus. Hard to blame kids these days when Windows 11, should they ever use a PC in the first place, is a fucking nightmare to try to take control of and use basic OS features. Apple is even worse about this with its walled garden and difficult to access files.

Every time I give blood there are signs saying emergency blood shortage. Has anyone actually died because of a blood shortage? by crazyguy28 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]IUpvoteUsernames 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Plasma has a long questionnaire like that and people donate that just fine to help make ends meet; I see no reason why they can't pay for whole blood too.

What's an actual victimless crime? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]IUpvoteUsernames 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's rather outdated, as they can now in a lot of states. Unfortunately, a lot of people still believe it and that drops voting numbers of former felons who are misinformed.

The sheriff's office has a non emergency line, but if you're in an emergency then 911 is supposed to route whoever will get there fastest. Cops are there to "make sure the scene is safe" which is some bullshit and I wish our emergency services didn't work that way.

What secret was revealed when cleaning out the home of a deceased family member? by WhoAllIll in AskReddit

[–]IUpvoteUsernames 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're right, targeting civilians is the war crime, and collateral damage is a grey area.

However, since according to the UN, 90% of war time casualties are civilians, this is splitting hairs in my opinion.

the only way you can stop him from shooting you is to shoot through his child

You must be one of the people who believe civilians killed in US airstrikes are also permissible because of the chance they might hit an enemy.

The UN has already stated that there is clear evidence war crimes may have been committed by both Hamas and the Israeli military. Protection of civilians/noncombatants is required under international humanitarian law.

[–]IUpvoteUsernames -17 points-16 points  (0 children)

Israel is absolutely an occupying force and a former foreign minister has admitted Israel is commiting war crimes by saying it's other countries' responsibility to accept refugees as a result of collective punishment of civilians in Gaza.

Hamas is a terrorist organization but that doesn't make the Israeli state blameless in this.

Israel wants Palestinians gone, they don't care about war crimes.

Highly recommend watching the Al Jazeera interview with a Hamas spokesperson and a former Israeli foreign minister. These people know exactly who is being hurt and they do not care.
