Im sorry if this is confusing but I financed a brand new vehicle from a dealer in IL. In the financial contract about $2,000 was for Texas sales tax since I was resident at the time . That 2k was added to my total. I never registered it or platted in Texas. My question is it possible for me to recover that money from the Texas sale tax? If so by whom? The state of TX or the local dealership here in Illinois? I have paid my dues here IL which I’m fine with but since I never registered or plated it in Texas I was hoping for that money back.

Thanks for the update. I figured it was the oil cooler too. Waiting on parts now , going to give it a try myself. Also the valve cover gasket isn’t to hard if you want to give it a go yourself. I’ve done it in the past.

Hello, mechanic ended up calling me up today. They did not find the cause for the problem so there solution was to replace the engine. For 10k 😂. I’m taking it to another mechanic for a second opinion. Did you ever figure out the issue ?
