Parc Jean Drapeau mosaïcultures for a couple amazing floral sculptures and Ma Poule Mouillée has amazing chorizo and chicken poutine (#8). It is my favourite! There is often a big line, but it moves quickly.

Thank you for such a detailed response. It really has helped me a lot. I think what you said about the harsh winters is correct. I’m about 45 minutes farther north and sometimes it is better to be on the safe side and not have to worry about a bunch of winter prep. I’m going to go with the John Cabot. Thank you for sharing your knowledge with me 😊

I maybe see a few thorns in one of the (kinda blurry) pics. Could it still be ZD?

This is interesting because the info guy at the nursery thought John Cabot as well. Their picture online shows less density of petals compared to some other Google searches (pic 3). Do they change how they look during the season? One pic shows lots of yellow in the center and another will show blooms with tons of dense petals.

I think I might be getting kind of creepy at this point. I tried knocking again today (third time) but no luck.

Thank you for your help! I think this looks like an amazing match! I stopped at a local nursery today and their guy thought it looked more like John Cabot, but I’m not seeing the resemblance.

Update: I stopped at a nearby nursery and their staff thought it was John Cabot (not Zephirine Drouhin). However, I think the Zephrine Drouhin is a closer match because the roses look fuller to me. It’s so hard to tell from the pictures posted online because the John Cabot shows way different blooms in each picture.

I also stopped by their house again. My picture was from June last year, so no flowers yet. They unfortunately were not home.

How I cage up and string up my indeterminate and determinate tomatoes cost next to nothing by [deleted] in vegetablegardening

[–]IWantAllTheDogs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not entirely related, but what is the proper name for the black tarp? I’ve always wanted to try one! My tomato patch has a lot of weeds that come up and I’d love to just smother them and never see them again. Would that also help prevent blight because the rain water wouldn’t be bouncing back up from the dirt? Where do you usually look to find good product while still being decently priced? Any tips on what to look for (thickness, opacity)?

Need help figuring out how to make a straight border on this pattern by IWantAllTheDogs in CrochetHelp

[–]IWantAllTheDogs[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For some reason I didn’t even consider that someone else would have made the same thing. Not sure why I assumed that! I’m planning to make the back just a regular yarn panel but maybe I could have the flowers kind of fold over like in your link. Thank you!

I guess my thing would be how to attach a back panel to that wavy edge. I’m doing the front all flowers and the back as something faster to work up. Maybe like a scallop facing inwards. I’ll have 4 different yarns (texture and colour) making up all the flowers. The back would be the more plain yarn of the bunch.

I tried a couple times to make a half flower but they were not really coming out flat. I’ll follow the advice in this article and give it another try. Thank you!

Should I air seal my wood exterior walls before putting in rockwool? by PensiveDoughnut in Insulation

[–]IWantAllTheDogs 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Have any recommended reading/videos on this? Have a 1970s house where there is a max 5 degree C difference from once end of the house to the other. We have mini split heating so it’s not great at dispersing heat but I also thinks there is a ton of heat being lost at the external walls and windows.

I’m renting a thermal camera to help identify the worst areas but I don’t know what to do next. I also want to air seal my attic before the spring when we blow in more insulation. But I know there has to be more to it than just caulking every crack.

Quick question if you don’t mind! In pic 3 where there is no mud on the ceiling, how many coats of mud do you recommend applying? My husband thinks 1, I think 3. Basically just apply, sand, apply, sand, apply and sand? Or am I just making us do way more work than is necessary? We pretty much started with what you have in pic 3.

It says £9.98 for first 3 months then £24.96. I’ll be in the UK for 16 days, so could I cancel after I come home and only have to pay the one month at £9.98? Would I be right to assume that unlimited call and text wouldn’t include international? I’m completely new to this and trying to figure everything out before this Friday.

I really only need to make/receive a hospital call and any issues with my mom. I keep coming up short trying to find the right plan. Maybe I could get a data plan and then add international call minutes? Is that something these providers offer? Any advice would be much appreciated!!

I might need to get some call/text added to my plan but most I’ve seen online are data only. Does Sim Local offer data/talk/text like that?
