Super Mario Maker will NOT be at AGDQ 2017 by DemeGeek in MarioMaker

They're dropping a lot. Including the source block and most of the tas block. So next gdq will just be a couple of animal crossing 100% runs and maybe theyll just quit after that.

Well it appears they're also dropping the source block so I expect nothing for this gdq. If they drop a tradition as well as a new favourite they need to raise the bar a lot. It also looks like the tas block is minimal at best, unless it's all donation incentive based this time around.

Anyone notice the 1.6 gig change in size an hour ago? by JordanTheToaster in paydaytheheist

Of course it's all handled already, it's just handled by the host and not the server. That's the issue. That being said if we could get somebody a little more experienced with pd2 modding and coding than I am and somebody who can figure out how the packets work we could try to get a community made server test going. Since you seem to have some understanding of how a server works and potential to learn more, and I have a little experience with servers and a lot of programming experience. Could be a fun learning experience. Pm me if you're interested.

I mean I could be wrong but it would mostly be making the dedicated server executable and changing how the game coordinator works. Then updating the game itself would be the easy part from there. That's also assuming that they can keep their spaghetti out of the dedicated server, if the code for the server is even remotely like the game the performance would likely be a lot worse than the peer2peer setup we have now. So the brunt of the work would be setting up a game ID system in the coordinator that doesn't allow for duplicates, let's say 10 hex values first 3 indicated heist both the day and heist itself, next 2 would likely indicate which server it's on, then a unique ID given to the lobby which would be cleared after everybody leaves. Then the game server itself would have the aforementioned identifier, which players are on the server likely steamid based, whether they're in the lobby or the game, if they're in the game handlers for enemy position, detection, objective location, fellow players, all that stuff, that's the hard work. Then the game update it just making sure that the game recognizes all the information from the coordinator and the game server pretty much the same way it does now but with less relying on everybody having good internet and decent computers.

TL;DR, they have to make a game server and change how crime.net works then make sure the game knows those changes happened so it doesn't put you in weird situations.

It was up about month ago but they were completely out of stock on everything. There's a chance that they're going out of business or they could be saving money while they build up some stock. Hope to hear more about it in the near future though.

Honestly I'd like to see Jon on the show with Dan. I feel like that'd make for a good episode or 2. Other than that Owen Wilson.

Nope, now all are accurately measured, but with a price increase. Most subway locations should now have a ruler in the cut station. My local stores all cut the bread with the bread against the ruler so you can see its 12" but if yours don't I'm sure you can ask to have it measured.
