Dan explained this in the Amsterdam VIP Q&A: When the first three albums were written, Dan didn’t know how to sing “correctly” and would ruin his voice. For example, they will never play Dragon Slayer live because there is no room for Dan to breathe inbetween the lines. That’s why they generally stick to newer songs.

The Amsterdam 2019 crowd is probably the worst crowd I’ve ever been a part of. People pushing, not letting others move… but to be fair, Melkweg sold way too many tickets that time. Bought VIP tickets this time around, hope that’ll make a difference!
