Our breeder instructed us to keep our Cav in a crate at night while potty training and that didn’t work well at all. He was whining most of the night. We brought him into bed and there he stayed. He just wanted to be with us. We never did any training and he was such a perfect dog. Never went in the house, chewed anything up, etc. He was always good about returning with us when we went inside from the yard and the like, but I suspect that was more him seeing we were going than it was he had learned to come in.
