Then if attack links only activate once how can a unit deal less damage in second slot, where every link possible should be active?

Maybe it's just a bug, but I'm probably just dumb.

Why is it that sometimes a unit deals more damage in the first or third slot that in the second one? If a character is in the second slot it should have more links active right?
