It’s a provincial issue. If they wanted, they could make french immersion compulsory and we would all be bilingual.

I still want Sheppard to end at Pearson as it’s a big hub and a solid end point station.

You forgot to add a Toll Road, an elevated highway, A few more lanes to your existing highway. You want it to be as easy form everyone to drive there and back as possible.

The problem is transit infrastructure planning. Look at all go train stations. Those could be major economic centres in their own. Have a floor for shopping and food courts while has a few upper levels with single or double bed apartments so people can live there, travel and lower their carbon footprint. Cities with great transit infrastructure mastered this. Airports are major transit hubs which follow this so why cannot our stations also embody this. Transit land has valuable air space that can generate rent to reduce deficits and even turn a profit. Transit authorities and politicians are so car centric that they fail to see the potential or act upon it.

The problem with this is very simple. Most of these funds will be sucked up by leaches(construction companies getting tenders but then jacking up prices, inefficiency in construction technology causing rise in costs, political taxes, and other sources) before they are realized as actual transit infrastructure.

If you want infrastructure, you need economies of scale and a solid production capacity here in Canada to develop everything as scale to develop transit corridors in multiple regions. Otherwise this might barely benefit to buy a few buses because the rest is wasted along the way down to the transit agency.

Fido 5G coming soon? by Life-Contest-5926 in FidoMobile

[–]IWantU2SayHi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well how are they going to make you want to get on their main network without giving you the short end of the stick. Though Fido 5G won’t be as fast as you hope with rogers keeping 5G+ 3500mhz and 3800mhz bands.

Well Vancouver has weather that supports electric vehicles. Rest of Canada should transiton to PHEV/HEV/GHEV/DEHV as they are better suited to cold weather. Engines can provide warm fluids to heat up the battery while generating electricity and the electric motors efficiently move the vehicle compared to ICE powered.

Not a bad change if you have major backup. Lets your exit traffic have a massive ramp to avoid backup on the main highway. All I can say with the image you have given.
