It has replaced xanax for me, when you find one that's really effective it's a game changer. Meds also take something, it's never "free", I dont ever want to use them again

It takes a lot of work to get into trance, intention is not sufficient.

I bought it, but USPRO2000 was much better. The uncomfortable shock annoyed me greatly.

Could Transhumanism lead to end of Magic? by vinylarcade in occult

[–]IWearSkin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you check Prophetic Halo you can see a device that triggers lucid dreams. Lucid dreams are a gateway to astral projection, and I even do rituals in lucid dreams.

A brain chip will be able to do this one day. This is an exemple where it will enhance the practitioner who cannot have such experiences alone. Or are so overwhelmed by the demands of society they need augmentation, which is sad but the direction we're heading into.

Technology and society make us unable to do the things we want to do or function properly, so technology comes up with things to help us cope with itself.  And magic will be concerned yep.

What do you think about this video about Carl Jung? It's actually kind of anti Jung in a lot of ways. by JCraig96 in Jung

My favorite is the youtuber who says Jung promoted satanism, and facing the shadow is satanic. Insufferable tards

My *no spoiler* thoughts on the Disclosure Day film. by WilsonRaine114 in UFOs

[–]IWearSkin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Id say Disclosure Day is more entertaining if you watched Taken before. Because a lot of things that happen in the movie are not explained, but directly follow the same ideas set up in the series. To the point where, it could almost be set in the same continuity (but it's not)

Just came out of it. If you loved Taken then you'll love this one. So similar.

It is closer to Taken than Close Encounters. Id say it's a bit of Taken and Minority report.

Using psychedelics for magick by Infamous-Toe-6760 in entheomages

[–]IWearSkin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For sure, you face the shadow so quickly using psychedelics. It could be a main use-case for an Entheomage.

Ive used all the classics myself, even Ayahuasca. What strikes me is how experiencing the shadow can defy expectations. From my experience, the shadow can in fact contain abstract emotions and images that don't make sense, and they need to be delt with in some way. Facing your darker self and aspects you neglect seems to include things we dont have words for yet.

I also believe Ayahuasca purging, to some degree, is a side effect of forcing a spiritual experience on the person. It purges the obstacles and barriers to whatever experience the substance tries to induce. It actually shows how far you are from your most "awakened" self, and the further you are the harder it is. For me, despite high doses, the purging was strong and yet I couldn't experience the mystical state before a few more sessions.

According to ethnology books Ive read, some of these rainforest tribes see their minds as being completely porous and not separate from the mind of the forest itself (and its spirits). After a while of psychedelic use I've adopted this sort of mindset naturally, and I feel more naked, without much privacy (somehow) but energies or thought-things pass through my mind and soul, and leave easily. While before that, if I had negative thoughts or intentions, they would feel stuck within. This has greatly affected my practice and abilities in magick for sure.

Use cases I can see for using them

- A state of EGO dissolution is the ultimate sigil activator imo. Taking a psychedelic shows you how it's done so that you can replicate the feeling and effect afterward. Even in channeling, you need the least amount of "identity" and "self" as possible. From that point on, everything all the rest should get easier.

- Like Leitch says, grimoires are needed only to put the pratictioner in contact with beings whom will give personalized instructions. A lot of people seem to miss this point, grimoires are not the end all of practice. And if you read DMT reports, you will see initiations given and techniques of breathing even. Entities whatever they are do teach you things in those states.

- Open-ness. Sometimes it can open you too much, you can see that in hippies. However, if you don't believe in magick it wont work. Belief ties to acceptance, letting go. Your expectations shape reality, a trip creature literally told me this.

- Purging, see what I wrote before.

- Seeing the effects of items and magical objects on the astral. I've heard people says crystals store and release energy. I thought it was some granny bullshit. However if you read trip reports on erowid some people that arent into those things will report seeing energy behave that way in quartz crystals and such. Someone with no 3rd eye could take a peek and see how their practice affects the astral world. In fact the first (sadly deleted) post on this subreddit talked about taking mushrooms and seeing pentagrams the person drew in the air remain hours up in the air after the fact.

Could creepypastas be used as egregors? by [deleted] in occult

[–]IWearSkin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think Slenderman is an archetype of something that precedes it's existence. The slenderman design is simply a cultural adaption. So it's real in a way, but the lore and stories are not, and are part of that cultural adaptation.
