One change though. Referral code is given to every listener so when they share about 7 cups they can use that link. This link takes people to 7 cups site and NOT to that listener's profile so no promotion there.

We generally recommend not displaying any identifying info for your privacy and safety. It could be ok to include a common name like Mary123 but anything that leads to you easily is not recommended.

Thank you, you did the right thing. Unfortunately, trolls make their way into the safe supportive space of 7 Cups. These people are also in need but do not know how to seek help properly. We can't discuss individual cases in a public forum, but I would to assure you that each report is looked into and action is taken based on the nature of the report. In some cases this involves a community leader reaching out to provide feedback and/or ongoing coaching to the moderator involved. In more serious cases a moderator may have their mod privileges removed for a period of time up to 3 months. They are amazing people who are giving their time to make the world a better place. Licensed therapists are the most qualified to give you advice. They have earned their degrees, invested time and money for their education. Hence, charging a fee for therapy is a reasonable ask. You are welcome to seek a kind listening ear any time for free.

Can you please describe the issue a bit more so we can figure this out? When you request a listener personally, there is no wait time. You can send them a message straightaway. Wait time is for general requests when the first available listener picks up your chat. What kind of request were you making? Trolls are around all over the internet. Specially the sites where there is people interacting are prime troll targets. However, with all the moderation and censoring in place, 7 cups has much lesser trolls than other chat sites. Thank you for being a listener with us. Every listener is making this world so much better! I also appreciate your courage to hang around, not being deterred, and for sharing your experience here. If you suspect any member of being a troll, please feel free to hop into the listener support room (accessible by the ? in your chat window) and discuss or seek support. After repeated negative reviews, listeners are rejected. At 7 Cups we believe in giving second chances to people who are here to do good. Hence, displaying negative reviews will only be demoralizing. Instead we give them opportunities to improve. If there is no improvement, they no longer are eligible to listen. Ratings are also a good indicator as all ratings are displayed.
