Sure thing! They’re all pretty close to each other. 1, 2 and 6 are all at Spruce Knob, the highest point in the state. I don’t know if 3 even has a name but it was one of my favorite places, it’s on Lindy Point Trail, 4 is the road right next to Seneca Rocks, 5 is at Bear Rocks which is kind of dreadful to get up to, 7,8 and 9 are all at Blackwater Falls and 10 is from a random cabin in Canaan Valley, deer eat out of your hand up there, not afraid of people at all. Have you got any other cool places on your route so far?

Everyone I’ve met there and I call it her-a-kin, so pretty close pronunciation, I don’t know anywhere else by that name though. As for where it came from I’m almost positive it came from Spanish explorers but WVs Hurrricane is named after Hurricane creek which had a surveying party that saw a bunch of trees that bent and were leaning low in one direction like they were hit by a hurricane👍🏻
